2025-12-09 08:08:05 +0000 UTCMadHouse is THEE best studio. They captured the core of the story perfectly and made sure you understood both their point and the mangaka's. If you’ve seen the manga pages for this chapter, you wouldn’t even recognize the scenes. They’re THAT different. I love Togashi-sensei's storytelling, though I’ll admit I’m not a big fan of his drawings. Considering his health struggles, I can't criticize them, but that’s exactly why I'm so glad MadHouse was the studio that animated the series again. The direction is absolutely beautiful. You don't even need words to feel what's happening. A masterpiece! So many manga have a deep understanding of the world—its systems, politics, and social layers. My top two are One Piece and HxH, because you just don’t expect that level of complexity in a fantasy shounen. It’s not exactly subtle, but it still manages to show you what’s wrong with the system and I find that admirable. Yup—because of the poison in the bomb, Netero got so far away from the palace. You saw the distance. The government really wanted those ants gone. Pouf!! (Punintendedsorrynotsorry) Welfin’s braincells screaming "KOMUGI!!" at him and everyone’s reaction to that simple, one word name is just insane :D

2025-12-02 11:16:53 +0000 UTCThis might sound crazy but ever since the king met Komugi, I've slowly been leaning towards his side. This is a newly born baby who was born only to become a king. That's his only life purpose and all his actions and behavior in the early stages were inherited through dna as a chimera ant but you slowly see the different influences that he received from his surroundings, good and bad. On one hand, we have the enablers of his beastly instincts, the royal guards and on the other, we have Komugi, who taught and awakened the humanity in his blood (as he is born mixed blood). Nobody is truly a villain in this series, they each have their own motivations and they are completely understandable. The humans want to get rid of the ants because they are opposing each other in the food chain and vice versa.
