Personally, while i agree that Andrew's voice has SOUL, i much preferred Jiang Fan's version, just because it matched the vibe i felt from the original? Personally, i can't immerse myself into a cover that stray's away from the essence of the original (unless they are completely changing the song into a vibe), but maybe thats just me. Also SUN HENG YU, i feel so bad for his vocal chords but man somehow manage to turn that into A MOMENT. Where Yu Sen was shaky and flat, Heng Yu was strong and hitting the right notes. His last high note was not ideal but to me felt satisfying, maybe like it matched the desperation of the song, kinda like screamo is satisfying for some people? He Zhong Xing is the most frustrating contestant in this show for me. He wants to practice by himself, he wants to show only his colours and have his way on stage, he's sleeping while others are practicing, he thinks that he should be able to do whatever he wants and as long as that makes him look good. He is not a team player at all. I see a lot of people saying that Mnet is making him look bad and of course that's not completely false, cus the editor's job is to make an "interesting" narrative and every narrative needs an antagonist to be "interesting". But it also not false that Zhong Xing doesn't listen to his team members, and sometimes not even the masters. He only thinks about what he needs to do to shine rather than think about himself as part of the team that he is performing with. He practices alone, which means that he can't be on the same page with his team. When he is performing, it feels like he has one thing he does well, and he does it, over and over again. The same tone of voice, the same expression. He either needs a massive mindset shift or work as a soloist. For Whiplash team 2, i couldn't help but notice Peng Jin Yu. I think he had ATTITUDE and would have done well as a killing part. Also, Fang Zhe Yi would have been my pick over Zhou An Xin, his voice is stronger and grounding where An Xin's voice is light and bright, but that is a personal preference and i admit An Xin has a great tone. I'm quite disappointed with Yumeki this time around because i really want to see him improve his vocals, whether that is rap or vocal but he only had 2 second adlibs.

2025-09-16 04:54:01 +0000 UTCYoonmin was one of my favorites during LOUD and I was very excited to see he was back for this, but I've always known it was more for exposure than actually making it into the final group. He's 25 already and would have to enlist during the 5 year contract and even Giriboy was begging him to come back home lol I don't know if t's fair to say he's not as good now because we honestly didn't get to see anything from him besides this verse up until this point. His first audition was incredible (he performed Spot by Zico and Jennie doing both the vocal and rap parts), he continued to be all-star after the level test, was picked main rapper for the signal song and was constantly picked by other trainees as one of the "avengers", the "best talents". So it's honestly just a shame that MNET never let the viewers know just how talented he is
