Because the blockchain is publicly accessible, any tech-savvy fan can literally see the votes, how much used, who it came from (well, after the gravity is over), and WHEN it happened. You can track the huge spikes in votes that happen right after Modhaus posts the Gravity interim votes ranks. (it's actually super interesting to watch) As anti-rigging as you can get.
The como "whales", however, are an entirely other matter. 😅

Regarding the environmental impact of Objekts it's important to note that their blockchain works with a so-called proof of stake protocol, as opposed to proof of work, which means that their environmental impact is far lower (like 99% energy cost reduction) than that of the first ape face NFTs everyone typically thinks of (for more here the wikipedia article on it https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Proof_of_stake#Energy_consumption).
You also said that the tripleS' voting system has nothing to do with the NFTs themselves but I think it was actually one of the main motivations to use a blockchain. Back in 2021/22 when all this likely got conceptualized and the first Objekts were sold the mnet survival show vote rigging scandal was still quite present in everyones' mind and finding a transparent and manipulation-proof way to set up Gravities was probably a real concern.

Also, ASSEMBLE25 just reached 400k+ sales in the first two days (it reached top 5 first week sales from any 5th gen girlgroup) and the vast majority of the sales come from OMAs (Objekt Music Album), which is basically a QR version of an album that you can scan/listen to on the Cosmo App. They really changed the game!

Loved your rant PD. I think the importance of what tripleS and MODHAUS is doing is offering a different path, the success they’re achieving is making the industry reflect on themselves and I hope to see some change for the problems you mentioned in the future. As far as the payment system goes, if I remember correctly the total objekts of every member combined is split between the members evenly, so it doesn’t cause any issues of “earning discrepancies”. Of course some members are writers/producers so they earn royalties too but that has nothing to do with the Cosmo App.
