Olman Temple Complex
Added 2025-03-31 21:53:09 +0000 UTCI imagine this to be what the ancient Olman center of Thanaclan looked like on the Isle of Dread, though it can be placed anywhere in the Amedio Jungle, Thanaclan or any jungle setting in your own campaign world. The layout of this religious center is very much like that in Teotihuacan, except that it's been brought into the jungle and given a few touches that I thought the Olman might have added.
D&D explored the Aztec mythos in detail in Legends and Lore 2e, with art by Terry Dykstra. In the Flanaess (Greyhawk), the Olman culture is very similar to many of the ancient Mesoamerican peoples. Adventures like Tamoachan and the Savage Tide adventure path brought the Olman front and center in role play.
