Writing Update [4/23/2024]

Hey peeps!

Lots of fun and good news!!

AWARDS?

First, Time-Marked Warlock (the first in my Urban Fantasy series, Chronos Chronicles) won the GRAND PRIZE for the Shelley Award for Best Supernatural Science Fiction! (Hurray!)

I won money, an advertising blitz, a blog tour, a ribbon, and a fancy membership to an author’s club for people who have won the grand prize in a category through this organization.

I’m super pumped!

And to CELEBRATE!! If you want a copy of the book (with the OG cover) you may get one until I run out (I think I have 30) and it’s FREE OF CHARGE. You just have to message me with an address you want it mailed to! But again, while supplies last.

WRITING?

I’ve almost finished edits for Crown Tournament 3! As you can see, more chapters are coming out. There will still be typos because a professional editor hasn’t gone through this, BUT I’m trying really hard to make sure it’s cool for Patreon peeps.

Elder Arcanist—I wrote more, but my writer’s group thinks I need to change some things, so I’m tweaking it currently. Prepare for a 1-5 chapter re-upload in the near future, followed by more chapters.

Nexus Finale—I’ve been writing this in the background. Almost halfway done!

SHORT STORY?

If you have desires for short stories, now is the time to tell me! An idea will be taken and made a reality, haha

Otherwise, I will do my best to come up with something entertaining! And maybe even in audio.

Do you peeps like the audio short stories? I want to bring you peeps quality content, but I want to make sure it’s the RIGHT quality content, if that makes sense.

PERSONAL

The baby is a boy! (His name will be John William Stovall IV)

And the baby has NO genetic problems! (Probably – less than a 1/10000 chance). So all of that is good news!

Bad news—my blood is O- and the baby has positive blood. That means if they mix, my body will assume the baby’s blood is bad and fight against it. I’ll need to take a shot (or an injection, not sure yet) to help prevent any sort of issues. Hopefully everything will be fine! Apparently about 1/6 women have to deal with this, and from what I read, it isn’t a big deal.

SO, that’s all that!

Baby likely to be born end of Oct (Halloween baby??) or early November. We still have a long way to go!

Someone mentioned that I should post a baby registry. I must admit, I don’t have any sisters, and my mom isn’t in my life, so I didn’t really know what that was.

Apparently, it’s like a gift registry? For baby needs?

Again, I grew up super poor. I don’t think anyone I knew had something like this?

I’ll look into it, and maybe make one. Would you peeps want me to post it? I suppose it would be helpful/cute to get lots of diapers or blankets for the baby before he arrives.

I’m a little nervous!

Gotta keep my mind off it and write more books!
