BLAME - A New Song

Hello wonderful patrons,

It's a 🌑 New moon  🌑

A time for new beginnings, fresh goals and of course, mostly importantly - new music.

This month on Patreon I'm very happy to be unveiling another new Chemical Perils song.

It's called "Blame".

The concept of the song, I've taken from personal experience.

It's about my experience of religion, a common theme for me to write about, I don't know if that will ever change. It's about how guilt and blame can distort your emotions, and make you take on negative feelings that you then carry with you through your life. It's about being human, and accepting yourself, faults and imperfections. It's about finding your own path and forging it, even if others look down on you for doing so. I've lived with a lot for guilt for many years, and stayed in the shadow of it before I reassessed it's influence over me. These days I'm a tree-hugging moon-worshipping vegan nut and I am very happy about that. I'm also proud of the decisions I've made. I also try hard to accept myself when I fall short and mess up, which I frequently do. I hope you guys can relate.

I will also be re-releasing "The Putrid Brine", a song about living in your own filth and loving it. My dog Henry was the inspiration for this one. Me and him have so much in common 😉

I've released this song as a demo some months back, but now it's got real tribal drums (played by Anna),  meaty guitars and brand new vocals. It's been remixed (by Garry) and got some fresh synths too. It's punchy af.

As well as all the other magickal tiers (vlog, video bundle, BEB talk), I'll be doing my first metal vocal cover for the $50+ patrons. I'm kind of blagging it right now cos my metal vox still needs a lot of work but what better way to practice than set myself a goal ;)
