Exciting changes are coming!
Added 2020-02-16 02:05:04 +0000 UTCHey guys! We've been thinking about what to do about our Patreon as we continue to be hugely busy. This economic boom in the US has kept us constantly on projects, even through Christmas. The last time we re-arranged things, we streamlined so that we're not as swamped with getting everything out at the end of a busy month, but it's still not perfect so we've come up with a new idea.
Next month, we're going to switch to only having the $1 and $5 tiers. You won't be removed from the upper tiers though, so make sure you change your settings to $5.
The idea is to simplify everything and make the $5 tier a complete no-brainer. We're hoping to grow that tier, and save some time for us. Plus it also is the target price for other services like YouTube memberships and KoFi. Our problem at the moment is that we build different things for each project—sometimes it's rigs and sometimes it's elements. So sometimes we have a ton of stuff for one tier, and nothing for the others. And we love all of you guys and don't want anyone to feel cheated, so we've been building extra stuff at the end of the month, and sometimes it's hard with our workload.
So starting next month, we'll just be giving things we build for $5. So you're going to get project files from tutorials and whatever else we build that's interesting. Basically, it should be roughly the equivalent of the stuff we give to $10-20 patrons. It'll be easier on us and lot more value for you. So we think it'll be a win-win!
