Headed through to Edinburgh earlier today with a couple of pals from my old job. Wex Edinburgh store has relocated to somewhere a little more city centre friendly, and it was their opening day, so we went to see some familiar faces and get a look at the place.
It's nice, but much smaller than what I've become used to in Glasgow. We hung out there for a while, and then made our way into the city to shoot some street and grab some food.
I took the M6 as my main camera, shooting Portra 800 as standard - however, I took the monochrom with me just incase I ran out of film. Tbh, I could have gotten away with just taking the one camera as I didn't take that many photos, but I did sink a roll of film - I'll get that processed in the lab tomorrow.
I took a handful with the monochrom, but they're nothing special - very much photos for the sake of it, I feel. Which in of itself is fine; Gotta keep shooting through periods when motivation is low. But I didn't feel unmotivated in the moment, at least when I was shooting film, so maybe it was just my being full of food and drink, and sensing the day was coming to an end which prevented me loading the second roll... I guess I'll see how the film turns out tomorrow. If it's all shite then I quit.
Anyway, here's the monochrom photos. I've not been doing as much street in recent weeks - zone focusing is slipping. The shot of the wee girl crying in the centre is a good example of that!
