Muton Devastator Gear and Xcom Grenade Preview

Once again it has been a while my dudes, but this time i return with some decent progress to show, from left to right we have: The Devastator's black flame grenade, the Xcom version of this grenade, and the Devastator's Lance Gun. Originally the grenade on the middle was going to be the Devastator's grenade, but while i was making it it occurred to me that it looked too "normal", and as it often happens, the idea for this weird monolithic grenade just came to me.

As far as functionality goes, the grenade throw range for the Devastators is going to be pretty short, the idea is that if you get too close to them they'll throw that at you to get you to back off, so the grenade will probably cause panic and high damage. The Xcom variant will probably function exactly the same.

And as for the pistol, it'll deal little damage and have low aim at long range, so it's just there as a supplement for their main weapon, it probably wont do anything interesting, but i do want to try one thing with it, not sure if i can get it to work, but the idea is that it'll mark targets, but the aim bonus would only apply to the Devastator that hit you with the gun, i'm pretty sure it is possible to do this, but i'm not sure if i'll get it to work.

Anyway, with this all the modeling and texturing work is finished, next up is some animation work for their firing animations, grenade throwing, and lightning claw zapping, then particle effects and so on and so forth, so unfortunately there is still plenty of work ahead. Remember when this mod was just going to be an excuse to reuse the Axiom mask and it was just going to be a Muton with a grenade launcher? I just can't help myself.
