Post tour practicing/writing
Added 2024-07-05 18:00:09 +0000 UTCHey hey!
Martín here. So I have a new apartment, new haircut, and short snippet of new music that we’re working on.
One of the ways that I’ve been approaching this new material is by playing it and trying to figure out how to make it sound more natural, maybe make it easier, more fluid, or just scratching it alltogether. It’s a bit more of a hands on approach than just recording stuff and leaving it in the DAW. Since we’re working remotely I think this makes it more playful and more personal.
Still need to work on making this sound a lot cleaner, but what are your thoughts so far? 🍄🟫🍁🐝

2024-07-06 04:08:46 +0000 UTCIt has a really nice flow, I think the cycle where it sounds like there's an eighth rest and it's played on the down beat is really interesting, I think enunciating those rests will make it sound cleaner but I'm really just guessing tbh

2024-07-05 19:07:34 +0000 UTCIt honestly took me like 5 seconds to recognise yourself, it looks so different, good though 😁 I like the tone, sounds funky, gives me day & night vibes! I had to listen to it a handful of times, to kinda feel the tempo. I'd be interested in hearing, instead of alternating 4 and 5 beats per bar, a constant 4 beats but reduce the number of guitar cycles from 4 in each bar to alternating 4 faster and 3 slower. Think it could be cool to experiment with 💜
