I think the plates would work as a parallel story to the ceviche you reverse engineered. You would probably get more interest in statements and sides rather than staples. Everyone watching you (probably) already has a set of plates so they wouldn't want to spend anything on something they already have. Ramekins would probably get more interest since if you have some, you probably want some more. If you don't have them then boy do you have something for them (but also state the case that they don't need them and it would be cheaper to get it off amazon without the story behind it).
