Last time I was in town, I started my days by going to the Tully's across the street from where I was staying. The black coffee was way too heavy, and just too bitter and sour. I tried 7-11 to see if they could do better. What a difference. 7-11 had a richer, cleaner taste, and was much more reasonably priced than the Tully's or Starbuck's. Those places are way over-hyped, man; terrible coffee at inflated prices. Bleah! 7-11... Who would have thought?
