That iphone - windows problem is real, no matter how long you've been in IT.. I use dropbox or similar to transfer between the two sometimes.

I haven't edited any video in ages (let alone 4K or even HD video), but playing or encoding the video format wrong with different software on the same computer makes me suppose you may not have the right 'codec' (compressor-decompressor) software for that 4K video. I have no idea how to get it if that's the case, but the support people you deal with might be able to help with that.
