New Sketch of a City Scene
Added 2024-07-06 14:40:36 +0000 UTCHi everyone, this has been a long time coming - a city scene within Argenta! It's time to explore a bit more architecture I think. For a long time, city/street scene intimidated me. I have no clue why I do feel up to the challenge now, but I do now, and that is all that matters. The best thing by far with old and medieval like buildings like these is that they are so organic, nothing is perfectly straight, they sometimes even lean to one side - they just have so much character, it almost feels like drawing one of them. There is certainly A LOT to learn about it, but it feels great to make a step in that direction. It also lead me to having more and more ideas for castles lately, which is also something I may explore more. Those high-fantasy settings may be boring to some people, but they get me every single time. Maybe it isn't so much about making something that is as creative as it possibly can be, but rather just imagining where I'd love to live.
In any case, I'm looking forward to drawing the wooden beams so that they feel like they're cut by hand, and not by a laser or something industrialized.
