Chapter  29 - Dorothea, Back to Town

Last night, when my creative frenzy finally dissipated, it was already two in the morning.

Nevertheless, I set the alarm at before 5, woke up, used Clear on myself and headed to ALA.

I went to the terrace and found everyone in the living room. Pipi looked like she could fall asleep at any moment, but the others were eager to take a bath.

“Why are you up too, Lady Dorothea? Feel free to sleep in until it’s time for breakfast.”

I thought that when Arlene got up she probably woke up too, so I asked her the question. In response, Dorothea’s bunny ears flopped miserably.

“I want to take a bath too! Why do you keep putting me aside, Tenma!?”

Dorothea’s words made me feel a bit guilty. I didn’t mind her seeing my Room, but she always had such adorable reactions when bullied, that I couldn’t resist the temptation…

“I didn’t mean to do that, it’s just…there’s a secret in the bath…”

“A s-secret, you say!?”

I tried consoling the stupefied Dorothea.

“I’ll let you in the bath, but you can’t go in any of the other rooms. I am not going to answer any questions either. If you can accept these conditions, I’ll take you too. If you don’t keep your promises, though, I am never going to speak to you again. All right?”

“I-I promise!! Of course!!”

She didn’t look me in the eyes, so I was a bit worried, but I supposed I could bring her in.

I then turned to Arlene.

“Arlene, I made this ring for your training.”

I gave her the ring, and Arlene wore it with a smile.

I continued.

“Let your magic power flow into it. This will be your own personal magic tool. Ask Misha and Zizi for any details about how to use it. The clothes and other things I promised are all inside.”

“Thank you so much, Master Tenma!”

M-Master Tenma!? Hey, that doesn’t sound half bad…

Dorothea stared at me, with greed in her eyes. I was a bit hesitant, but I had made clothes for her too, so…eventually, I lost to the temptation.

“L-Lady Dorothea, I actually made something for you too…b-but, I’m not sure they came out well. I’ll give them to you, but please don’t feel like you have to wear them…”

Yes! The decision was all up to her! I put the clothes into her ring Storage.

We then went to the Room.

Misha, Zizi, Dorothea and Arlene headed straight to the bath.

Pipi, Sil and I went to the dining room instead. I then put Sil’s food into Pipi’s Storage.

“Pipi, I officially put you in charge of Sil’s meals. I put his food inside your choker, so you’re going to give Sil his meals from now on. He’s a real glutton, though, so make sure you don’t give him too much.”

I barely even finished speaking when Pipi’s right hand shot up.

“Please leave it to Pipi!! Shir Tenma! Ah…”

Pipi was so pumped that her tongue ended up fumbling again, much to her embarrassment.

That was so adorable…!!

I gave Pipi some orange juice, then went to the kitchen to make preparations for breakfast.

Crisp and crunchy bacon, scrambled eggs, soup and salad…okay, all done.

Back in the dining room, I found a very satisfied-looking Sil, and Pipi cuddling him.

We went to the living room together and took it easy for a little while.

On the sofa, Pipi was busy fluffing up Sil, so I patted her bunny ears. She seemed to enjoy it, so I continued.

Zizi was the first to come back from the bath, followed by Misha and Arlene.

Arlene had changed into the clothes I made for her, and she was wearing the papillon ears hairband too.

“Master Tenma, these clothes feel so comfortable! I thought they were too big at first, but once I wore them their size became perfect, and the texture is so nice too! These ears, tail, the ring…they’re all amazing…! Thank you so much, for everything.”

Arlene seemed to be happy with the things I made her.

The way she expressed her joy was still a bit childish, but her manners and speech were always polite.

Her ears and tail moved as she talked, though, further increasing her cuteness meter.

Right then, Dorothea came back too.

One look at her, and I felt my jaw drop.

The sight…easily surpassed my imagination…!!

“Tenma! These clothes are exceptional. Automatic size regulation, temperature regulation, even automatic washing functions! And other enchantments I never knew existed…which means, the materials the clothes are made of must be rare too!”

Dorothea was praising me nonstop, but I honestly couldn’t catch a single word. She didn’t seem to notice how her passionate speech made certain…parts of her body move around a lot.

“To think that you gave me such clothes as a present…! I love you, Tenma!”

I’m so happy to hear that…yet feel that the air around me is growing colder. Eyes glaring at me from every direction…Zizi even looked like she was about to cry.

T-This is bad!!

“L-Lady Dorothea, I gave you a robe too. Please make sure you wear it.”

So I hurriedly said, but she didn’t seem to be aware of the gravity of the situation.

“Hmm? Yes, I plan to. But wearing it indoors would be awkward, wouldn’t it?”

“I-I suppose so. Well then, shall we have breakfast?”

I then scampered off to the dining room and served breakfast.

Looking at the table turned all frowns into smiles.

I was relieved to have escaped the pinch, but then noticed Zizi’s apologetic look.

“I am sorry to have you make breakfast, Lord Tenma…please let me take care of it from tomorrow!”

“Don’t worry. Your first priority is training your stamina and magic power. You’ll learn about cooking later, little by little.”

“B-But…sniffle…”

Zizi started crying. She probably thought that, though I had hired her to do work, she was not being useful.

“Listen, Zizi. It’s fine if it takes a little time, just make sure you learn well. You’re not going to leave anytime soon, are you? It’s okay if it takes time to learn, for me it’s enough if you work hard later.”

“Sniffle…understood. But I want to learn as fast as possible…I will serve you all my life, Lord Tenma.”

“Anyway, let’s eat!”

Breakfast time finally started.

Dorothea smiled, all happy, then walked off in the town’s direction.

“Lady Dorothea!! You can take off the bunny ears now!”

So I shouted at the woman’s back, as from her head the animal ears still rose up.

“Not a problem!”

Dorothea simply waved as she went into town.
