I think that was just his instinctual reaction because he was a good guy. In a split second between shots someones gonna react on instinct.

Absolutely amazing what the movie accomplishes in terms of emotional resonance. And if they ever make "Goodbye, Eri" my life will be complete, the one-shot manga absolutely blew me away in its composition, its irreverence, its surreal heartbreak.

Now the big difference is Arai did something good before dying, he was a good person with heroic instinct, not hesitating to rush into a bullet to save his friend, what a hero. The complete opposite of that other piece of crap

Like the glasses guy (madoka) that directly quits, one of the only things we knew was that he had a really high IQ and it shows lol. As for Kobeni and Arai, the stressed girl and her friend when aki ask her opinion Himeno says that : -Arai is not really competent but he is goodhearted and motivated -Even if Kobeni is timid and reservated, she is talented and can be decisive

I love complex mechanics in power systems in anime. When it comes to this anime.. well I won’t say much and since season 2 is not even out yet, all I gotta say is that you will learn more as you go.

It's just so different from the others, but in a really good way. A lot calmer than the others, but also tragic and beautiful sounding at the same time. Also really like the singer's voice.

The devil decides the terms and the person contracting them can accept or not, so when it seems like someone is getting a lot of power for very little sacrifice, you can be suspicious about why that is. I hope that's vague enough, otherwise I'll delete.
