The manga is not over, its still releasing weekly-ish and theres not a clear end in sight yet. With the time they are taking for the anime, its going to be a while before it catches up to the manga. I love how you both focus on Aki putting the gum on the ladys clothes. Youre exactly right that its a form of 'easy revenge' that is a very healing way of dealing with that situation. You get back at the person who was in the wrong even if theyre grieving, without actually hurting anybody, and still confronting the grief.

Realized my math in the op is very slightly off. Forgot to account for the fact that episode 1 covers chapter 1 one to one. So keeping in mind that eps 2-11 cover 37 chapters, that gives us a new rate of 3.3 chapters per episode, that new pace shaves a whole episode off our estimate for the number of episodes remaining in part 1 from 14.5 down to 13.6 Does this matter? not at all these are made up numbers that are just estimates made for fun. but why not try to be as accurate as possible in the process eh?

Seeing you girls get attached to the characters so fast and liking that much the relation between characters, I would definitly recommend watching a 50min animated movie that is based on a story of the same author as chainsaw man, it's named "Look back" it came out last year and I would love to see a reaction to it it's a really really good story

To answer the question you guys asked, the manga is *not* over yet. Though it is in a big climactic arc of sorts right now. SO, season 1's 12 episodes cover ~38 chapters of manga, that's about 3.1 chapters per episode. The upcoming movie will (very likely) adapt 14 chapters. That leaves them 45 chapters remaining to adapt in "Part 1" which at season 1's pace would require 14.5 more episodes But that's not all, because chainsaw man is currently in what is likely the climax of Part 2. Using thesame math Part 2 has 37 more anime episodes worth of content with more chapters from this current arc on the way In total that means assuming the show doesn't get cancelled for some reason we can expect at minimum 50-60 more episodes of content, easily filling up 3+ more seasons. (and we have no idea wether there will even be a part 3 or not yet)

Think the gun devil's attack last ep makes perfect sense when considered in the lens of a mass shooting. It starts and ends in an instant, it's completely unpredictable and there's basically nothing you can do to avoid it once it starts. And afterwards some arbitrary number of people are just gone and the perpetrator is usually gone just as quickly, never able to face justice. Just leaving everyone involved with an unfixable inexplicable trauma they'll live with forever.

I’d put chainsaws in the same category as like cars, and clowns. While they CAN DEFINITELY be terrifying, the main purpose of them isn’t scary. Chainsaws are for trees, cars are for driving, and clowns are for entertainment. Guns however, the only reason they exist is to kill. Thats why it’s one of the most powerful devils. When you think of them, subconsciously or consciously, you think of violence.

I forgot there was a character more annoying than Power.. and that’s komeni or whatever her name is lol now for a devil called “Eternity devil” I was expecting his design to be something straight from Cthulhu or very lovecraftean..ish.. but his design is pretty meh… it was very disappointing tbh. Now spoiler ahead for anyone who hasn’t read the manga………………SPOILERS… YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED lol…… I’m glad later on the design of the devils are better such as the Gun Devil or the Time devil but the best one so far it’s the Darkness Devil. I can’t wait to see that part animated lol
