2025-08-21 08:47:11 +0000 UTCMuch love to Robert who is amazing, but I disagree with his take here. Point A: One Piece and Invincible do not have release dates yet, it's complete speculation. Both shows could drop way later. Point B: Micro-optimizing the schedule over a what, 8 week delay, makes no sense. Surely it makes more sense to just.... eat a delay and watch a new show later? Its not like the girls ever cared much about watching every new show season exactly when it airs. Point C: When Andor or whatever short show ends, they can choose what to watch based on what seasons have aired then. Mad Men apparently ends April 26 (which is wild). The twice-per-week long show slot could be used to clear any backlog shows really fast, like any of those seasons could be done in 4 weeks. Problem solved. Point D: Last time the girls spoke about it they said they were gonna do a short show poll. Personally I think they should just watch Andor, but I'm also fine with a poll. Either way this conversation seems kinda pointless if it's gonna be a poll lol. I think it would be incredibly ill advised to intentionally avoid Andor just to optimise around speculative release dates. On a personal note, some of us have been waiting for Andor for years and we patiently sat through the short show slot being occupied by all the new shows for like 6 months now, a slot which gets busier every year. The idea that we would push it back by another 3-6 months+ makes me sadder than Syril Karn on that bed. If Andor loses a poll that's fair and square, you take the L and move on. But it's a fucking great show, it's more relevant than ever, the people want it... let the girls experience peak. It's Andor's time.

2025-08-21 05:53:43 +0000 UTCGuys, we’ve got a scheduling problem if we run Andor right after The Bear: Now – 16 Sept: The Bear 23 Sept – 10 Mar: Andor The problem: Fallout (Dec 2025, 8 eps), One Piece (Early 2026, 8 eps), and Invincible (Early 2026, 8 eps). We can’t move anything into the Long Show slot because Mad Men runs until 26 Apr. That leaves us just 14 weeks between The Bear and Fallout. On top of that, Summer 2026 brings The Boys S5, House of the Dragon S3, and The Bear S5. So basically we’re stuck with 5 options: 1. We get a 7th slot per week (yeah, no chance :D) 2. We watch Fallout, One Piece and Invincible months after release from March to June/September (depending if we use free slots after Mad Men) 3. We split Andor in half and watch the rest later (no fun) 4. We watch Mad Men three times the week until Fallout is out and finish Mad Men in March 8, and then watch Andor (Andor fans like more Mad Men???) 5. We push Andor way back into the future (Andor fans will kill us all)
