2023-08-23 02:52:11 +0000 UTCThe guitar in the video is a resonator guitar, more commonly called a Dobro after one of the most well known manufacturers of them. Although the ones people usually call Dobros have a high bridge+nut and are played with a slide. This guy's just doing the usual beginner cowboy chords on a resonator, which is extreme poser behavior. Also, this isn't really what I'd call "folk music," but something in the grey area in between Country and Bluegrass where you go if you want to call yourself "alternative" and/or aren't a good enough picker to play Bluegrass.
