MY EXACT SKINCARE ROUTINE + PRODUCTS (GATEKEEP THIS)
Added 2023-06-01 17:17:36 +0000 UTCThis post will have my day and night skincare routine and the exact products I use daily.
None of these brands have paid me to recommend or talk about the products recommended in this post.
Please do not share this around anywhere.
Morning
1. Facial cleanser: https://amzn.eu/d/0vMdxEK
Will wash my face for around 20 seconds with warm water
Then apply the facial cleanser for 2 minutes
Then wash off with cool water (not cold)
I will exfoliate 1-2 times a week with this: https://amzn.eu/d/ase01CI
Exfoliating is a deep cleanse of the face but it’s not recommended to do it everyday.
Then I will pat dry my dace until it’s damp (NOT DRY)
2. Vitamin C Serum
The one I use is by SkinCeuticals: https://amzn.eu/d/bXWEG9B
At the very moment of me writing this post, this is considered to be the best in the market, however the price of it does reflect upon its quality.
If you are looking for a cheaper alternative which is still good then you can check out these :
A. Timeless Vitamin C Plus E 20 Percent Ferulic Acid Serum: https://amzn.eu/d/5BP3FRV
I have used this before and it is very good but I had to stop using it because my skin got very sensitive to it. (It would leave a stinging sensation when I apply it on) 👎
Check out the videos on Tik Tok and YouTube about it.
B. Drunk Elephant Vitamin C: https://amzn.eu/d/5BP3FRV
I have not personally used this but I have heard many many really good reviews about it. Check out the videos on Tik Tok and YouTube about it too.
One of the reasons that the SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic Serum is so expensive is because of its unique and blend of active ingredients.
This is important because if the formulation isn’t properly balanced, it will be less effective.
In general Vitamin C has a pretty short shelf life. It can go “bad” as early as one to two months after opening a bottle.
To prevent this from happening, SkinCeuticals has formulated and packaged the serum to remain stable and effective for up to six months after opening the bottle.
Light exposure can essentially destroy vitamin C’s effectiveness.
Make sure to keep all of your skincare products especially Vitamin C products in a cool and dark place. Warmth and excessive light exposure can mess up the formula.
After applying Vitamin C, I will wait about 2-3 minutes for it soak and absorb into my skin before applying the next product.
3. Hyaluronic Acid Lotion
The one I use: HADA LABO Gokujyun Premium Hyaluronic Acid Lotion : https://amzn.eu/d/anhSVwz
Not may people know this, but Japanese skincare products, especially their lotions are some of the best in the world.
Hyaluronic acid is a natural part of the skin that keeps the skin moisturised, smooth and firm.
They have a wide range of lotions but the one I use contains 5 types of hyaluronic acids for an action in the deeper layers of the skin. It’s ingredients also contain an extract of Sacran algae with anti-inflammatory and highly moisturising effects. Out of their whole line this is the one that focuses the most maintaining the skins moisture.
This gives my skin a craaaazy GLOW 🌞
Hyaluronic acid plays a crucial role in skincare because of its exceptional ability to retain moisture in the skin.
This then helps to keep the skin hydrated, plump, and supple. This hydration aspect is vital for maintaining the skin's moisture barrier, preventing moisture loss, and promoting a healthy, youthful appearance.
As we age, the natural production of hyaluronic acid in our bodies decreases, leading to drier and less elastic skin.
Hyaluronic Acid helps to replenish moisture levels, improve skin elasticity, and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
I will then wait another 2-3 minutes before applying the next product.
4. Moisturisers
Face: Cerave moistuiring LOTION: https://amzn.eu/d/iPap1Qq
Body: Create moisturising CREAM: https://amzn.eu/d/5Ras6bt if you wana save money, you can use this one for your face too 👍
These products have ingredients which have been proven to aid and promote healthy skin and help with certain skin conditions.
The only times I will use a skin cream with a scent is when I am going out with friends. But on a daily basis, I use the ones above,
Lips: Aquaphor Healing Ointment: https://amzn.eu/d/d9aENLf You can also use this for your face and body. This is basically a better version of Vaseline.
5. Suncream
This is the MOST IMPORTANT part of skincare. You need to wear suncream every day.
The one I use is by La Roche Posay: https://amzn.eu/d/6Wx406u
Choosing which suncream to use can be a hit or miss because you may not like how some of them will set on your skin.
Some may feel sticky, too oily, too tacky etc… so you may have to experiment with different ones until you find one that works really well for you.
I had to go through 3 different sun creams before I found this one which has been working well for me so far.
However when you are getting your suncream, make sure these things are included:
A. It is at LEAST SPF 30
B. It has this ingredient ‘bis-ethylhexyloxyphenol methoxyphenol triazone’
Other names for bis-ethylhexyloxyphenol methoxyphenol triazone:
- Anisotriazine
- Bemotrizinol
- Tinosorb S
The only time you should not wear suncream is when:
1. You are at home and your curtains are CLOSED. (Harmful UV Rays from then sun can get to you even if you are home and your curtains are open)
2. You are catching the early - early morning sunrise
3. If you have a medical condition stopping you from wearing it.
Apart from that, you should wear suncream everyday. Even if it’s cloudy or rainy. Not just on summer heatwaves.
Make sure to apply it all over your face and don’t skip over your eye area. Close your eyes and rub it on your eyelids and around your eyes.
The skin around the eye area is very thin and it’s one of the face places on the face which start to show signs of aging. (Wrinkles)

This may seem long, but you can do it in 3-5 minutes. It seems long because I am explaining everything and what it does in great detail.
Night
1. Cleanse (same day time one)
2. Hado Labo lotion (not much amount)
*Wait 2-3 minutes*
3. Tretinoin (pea sized amount)
Tretinoin is a medication that comes from vitamin A which offers a lot of benefits for the skin.
It is mainly used to treat acne by unclogging pores, reducing inflammation, and promoting skin cell turnover but is known for the amazing benefits it also gives to the skin.
It is prescribed as an anti-aging treatment, as it stimulates collagen production, reduces fine lines and wrinkles, and improves skin tone and texture.
Tretinoin can also help lighten hyperpigmentation and repair sun damage.
It may initially cause skin irritation but tends to improve over time with proper use.
When you first start this, use it 1-2 days a week for the first month and then gradually increase the use as your skin gets used to it.
Or use it based on YOUR tolerance.
I use it every night.
Again, go on YOUTUBE AND TIK TOK and check out the videos people have made on it
It’s called ’Tretinoin’ but it goes under other names such as ‘Retinoid’ ’Tretinoid’. It’s all the same.
This one is very powerful so be careful if you use it, https://www.tretinoinworld.com/product/tretinoin-gel-0-1-20g/
This is not meant to be lathered on. Use approximately a PEA SIZED amount for your whole face and follow the instructions on package.
4. I will then let this chill on my face for around 10-20 minutes, then add a layer of moisturiser on my face.

MORNING
1. Cleanse

3. Hyaluronic Lotion
4. Moisturise
5. Sun cream (EVERYDAY!!!!!!!!! VERY IMPORTANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

1. Cleanse
