I did but just from where the show left off. I didn't know there was a 0 chapter. And yeah I see all the critiques you have right away but I'm still happy to have like 4 more hours of HxH even if it's just fan service and they get stuff wrong.

I suggest you to read the manga...maybe they have already watched Phantom Rouge, I don't remember. I think the movies are bad because the characters are not the same, Gon and Killua's personalities traits are weirdly emphasized and the Nen system is messed up...they seem like fan made movies with no build up and cursory treatment of the characters' psychology. The last mission has many anime cliché, whoever made it can't be a HxH fan, it's like the opposite of HxH. Anyway they are aware of their existence

Oh I guess I wasn't paying attention then. Even if they're not as good as the show that's really not saying much since the show is so good. Either way I'm getting to learn about the Kurta Clan which I always wanted and I'm sure it will be a fun adventure with characters I love even if it isn't as well written as the show.

I just had a HxH movie recommended to me on youtube called The Last Mission, it came out in 2013. Why did it take a youtube recommendation for me to find out? Did no one else know about this? Oh man, how much time do you have? Just off the top of my head, Aragorn. He's a bad character. Because remember, the sword wad reforged in the FIRST book. He KNEW in the first book that he was going to take up the mantle of the king. But he dragged it out for multiple books for literally no reason. "OoOooOoo I'm Strider muuuuuuggghhh". Bruh people died because you wanted some elf cheeks and you're the dude I'm supposed to be rooting for? Not even to mention Tolkien's writing style. Six pages to describe a boot. Now you're gonna know that boot. You're gonna be right there with that boot. But there's big swathes of your story that you're just skipping over and we get six pages on a boot? Tolkien's goal before anything else was to create a language and his literary works suffer for it.

When i watched this the first time my interpretation was also that Gon was essentially going with his mind made up to die fighting Pitou. And that he had simply assumed that Killua would come along with him, as he had for everything else... I won't say if my opinion is still the same now that i've watched it all, just wanted to say that i had a similar take as Lola. :)
