The gap between your personal desires and the wants and needs of customers.

When the gap from what you want from your customers is too wide from what your customers want from you, it will throw your business into a heavy sales mode.


and if sales is not a strength of your business, you simply wont get the results you're looking for.


You'll then find yourself spending a lot of time trying to "convince" people to buy.



To combat the need to focus on a heavy sales strategy, you need to FOCUS AND BE INTENTIONAL on your marketing strategy.

Always remember that great marketing starts with listening and observing consumer behaviour.

AUDIENCE - GAP


There is NOTHING you can do to make someone buy something that they don't need or want

Either create products and services for the people you have access to, or, find the tribe of people who will value the things that create and go HARD for them.



PRODUCT - GAP 


Product issues are hard to diagnose.

You might have a great product, but it may not be solving a need.

You may have an effective product, but it's in the wrong packaging.


You have to ask a shitload of questions from buyers and those who have rejected your product to then make necessary changes.




PRICING - GAP


Pricing tells us so much about a product or service. 

Don't take this part lightly.

If you're priced too low, people may assume the offer will not solve their problem and they'll reject it.

If you're priced too high, people simply may ignore your offer because the don't value it.


Rule of thumb, it's always easier to take down than it is to increase prices.





COMMUNICATION - GAP


How you talk about your offer is critical.


People buy stories, people respond to things that charge their emotions.


Here's the best practice - focus on one key messer per piece of content.

Your imagery and words need to match and every message should have a call to action.


Make it clear what you want people to do.





LOCATION / DISTRIBUTION - GAP


People cannot buy what they cannot find.


You have to make your product / service easy to find and purchase so that it causes little to no friction for buyers.


Without customers, you have have no business.


Be willing to go to them where they are, if they are unwilling or unable to me you where you are.





Closing thoughts 


Knowing how to properly diagnose the issues that are preventing your business from getting the results you want is hard work.


Being willing to correct the issues are often even harder.

Stay on top of you analytics and always keep collecting data and learning about your consumers.
