It's only spoiler to YOU since YOU already know what happens. But it generally isnt a spoiler to comment on somebody's character like "Killua is a good brother" or "Killua is the best brother" Grow up snowflakes

2024-01-21 21:37:04 +0000 UTC@Ben G You're right, but speaking about that. Oh how I would hate it they pulled a switch up and we learn that the Troupe didn't kill Kurapika's clan. I feel like what makes this storyline so interesting is the inner conflict we might have regarding the Troupe (them doing terrible and also philanthropic work). It would also take away Kurapika's character arc in a way: we know he's valid in his desire of revenge, yet we can see it consuming him. If it happened that the Troupe didn't commit those atrocities, then we would immediately get an answer on this dilemma which is that he shouldn't seek revenge. Don't know if I make much sense hahah

Especially here, the show wants you to assume things from the song however, I think it will deter your discussions in these three episodes into a topic that would be a bit too soon to discuss

Sure they are cool and have their own code.. btw.. seeing how strong they are, I do wonder if Kurapika is even a match for them lol. I usually don’t like side stories in arcs but this one was pretty good.

Also, the end with Phinx getting so excited thinking it was Chrollo calling them was so cute, you can tell how much he can't wait to hear from Chrollo again

They've said before that Meteor City residents are closer than family, so maybe the Phantom Troupe are like really distant family to Kalluto. Like, maybe Kikyo is actually excited that her kid is in the Phantom Troupe. Silva is the one on edge with them and Zeno seems too old to care (he even seemed friendly with Chrollo).

Neferpitou in this arc is a prime example, they're never referred to as she/her. And the next arc, no spoiler, touches on this topic in a much more direct way that is imo moving. Its not as surprising when you consider he's married to the author of Sailor Moon, Naoko Takeuchi, who also was ahead of her time in exploring sexuality and gender.

2024-01-21 03:31:56 +0000 UTCThe first time I watched this episode I was a child and I didn't understand why Phinks refuses to kill the "cursed ants" for mercy, and at that time I thought he was very cruel for that, but now as an adult I get it. In the japanese culture, dying in battle is a much more honorable way to die than any other. Phinks wanted the cursed ants to die fighting, he wanted to bring them honor and treat them as warriors until the end instead of treating them with mercy and pity. That's why he's my favorite Phantom Troupe member after Chrollo.
