I had a similar thought. It’s kind of like when people recommend Berserk 1997. Both are incredible, but also pretty much just pure misery and a whole lot of gore (which isn’t bad, and fits directly into both shows themes about humanity), but it still might not be their taste.

I’m in the same boat. It’s the same thing with people recommending Berserk. Both are deep and phenomenally written. But both are pretty gorey and over the top. If fans wanted another deep anime to recommend I would’ve wished for Monster. Which I think the girls would’ve LOVED.

Demon Slayer is pretty basic, but I think people assume basic automatically means bad, which isn’t the case. It has great moments and stellar animation. Not every anime needs to be like AoT, Vinland, Berserk or Monster to be good. It’s a good show. It doesn’t need to be some deep introspective piece with hundreds upon hundreds of layers to it. I think they’d enjoy it. It’s a pretty fun show.

Yes it's a chill and slice of life anime. I am very sure girls would enjoy it a lot if not outright love it. Let's see. Maybe we'll have to clear a bit no. Of shows before it gets elected. Or maybe once the next season comes and recency bias kicks in and we have poll during it airing it can win. Vinland actually defeated fmab in one other reaction channel polls few weeks back which absolutely took me by surprise. Once spyxfamily comes it will be everywhere increasing its chance of recommendation and winning too.

yep the first 4 episodes of Terror in Resonance drew me in so much but it really lost itself in the middle. Thank god it nailed the ending though, anyway, the real appeal of that anime for me was the character relationships, soundtrack, and atmosphere that it created. The bike scene from episode 4 (https://youtu.be/076McC8KMcU) is still stuck in my head YEARS after I watched the show. It's far from perfect and has some pretty big flaws but I have yet to watch another anime that has made me feel the way that one did :/

I'm still surprised that Spy x Family was added, the only reason I can think of as to why this was suggested, I recall Milena complaining how she wanted to watch something happy and this anime pretty much nails that. As much as I want Violet Evergarden, SxF took my vote in consideration of her. Yes there are many well written stories more deserving imo, but this show is such a breath of fresh air and I think they deserve something different for once. Nothing too sad or heavy, too deep or mind-boggling, just a wholesome series they can relax and enjoy. It will make for such cute reactions like how they adore Gon & Killua. Yet they must accede the majority, given the type of audience we have here, highly doubt it will ever get chosen.. seeing the other anime suggestions though, an amazing experience awaits them either way. Win-win.

In my opinion, Terror in Resonance lost its potential about halfway through. I love the anime, but mostly just because of the first half and the finale. I still had Erased in mind, but here the last 4 episodes are also an exponential crash. Due to the shortness of the show, though, it's also a "Was quite nice".

Interesting choices, me personally I would think that Violet Evergarden would be something thats definitely right up their alley and something they would love more than anything. Even Ranking of Kings would be something that would be more according to their tastes. Ive watch Cyberpunk and I particualry didnt care much for it, it was just one of those "it was alright" type of shows. But I suppose a large part of the audience that watch LM perhaps dont watch niche anime like violet evergarden or Your Lie in April and so the more "actiony" type of shows like cyberpunk may win in the poll. Also them watching violet evergarden would be a nice change in genre in regards to anime as it is a more human and personal story driven show that they would love instead of the same old "actiony" and superpowers type of show.

@Tom - You'd be surprised. I have 0 interest in watching reactions for a show I've never seen, but I've encountered a lot of people who feel differently. For the record, I'd be okay with JJK reactions, but I really dislike Demon Slayer. I enjoyed the first season & movie, but the show has been going downhill ever since. The story and and characters are great and the way they battled and disagree on how the world can be a better place would make the girl’s discussions very good and interesting. a few things about cyberpunk edgerunner before starting the first reaction ((NO SPOILERS)) The dub is probably the better option not only for quality but it also adds accent to some of the characters and because of how the show was made the dub and sub (i believe) should be closer to other anime. Be aware of the fact that causal and noncausal nudity is in the show, mainly because the world it takes place in is canonically more open about it. I tell you this so you can decide on how it will be handled in editing after.

Death Note convinces with its premise, not because of its writing. Plus, it's simply a must-watch because it's so well established. Still, it's clearly the worst anime they've watched on their channel. The two said themselves in some later Reaction that Death Note was a mistake.

Cyberpunk is beautiful, amazing characters, and you guys will love their relationships. I must recommend you watch the dub. The show takes place in California, there is English, Japanese, and Spanish language all spoken as well as a lot of lingo/slang. In the Japanese version this is all missed - it's all spoken Japanese and most of the slang does not come across. Kyoto Animation is one of the few animation studios in Japan with very good working conditions, and they don't release anything until they're done. Unpopular recommendation, but it would be nice to see them watch made in abyss one day. However I'm not complaining. They are watching some of my favorite shows already so I'm glad we, or at least I, am getting mostly everything that I want and from the best reactors. I remember being so excited when I discovered them and saw hxh which I was literally hoping they would watch (this was b4 I even became a patron lol). I knew this much that girls would appreciate it since they loved AoT but did not expect it to gain so much love. What worked for us was short and crisp comment about what show was about. Not more than 3 lines. Girls were watching fmab back then. We vinland fans upvoted this comment: Child drifting away from parents(thorfinn). Found family as he grows up. (askeladd), amazing characters, Based on vikings age. not wholesome but amazing story. It's about selling the show and trying to highlight points that girls generally adore in stories. Of course vinland got extrmely lucky to be picked without polls but perhaps description can make others nudge towards our choices.

@JATLA To be honest, I see it similarly. Lola and Milena are in my opinion the best Reacter to series on YouTube. I really enjoy watching them. With many others, you get very frustrated with how they don't understand the story and don't want to understand it and just keep watching. Especially with Attack on Titan Reactions, I went insane. One in Attack on Titan 4x28 didn't understand that this was a flashback and thought that Sasha was Gabi and Mikasa was imagining Eren. Of course I buy ice cream first when rumbling comes their way. 😐

Cyberpunk is a good 10 episode anime with great artstyle and animation, and a nice story of a teenager from a poor household in a turbo-capitalist (American) world. They might like it, but it certainly won't blow them away. A "nice to have seen" will probably be it in the end. I would have preferred Spy x Family, Your Lie in April and Violet Evergarden to give them something completely different in the anime genre. I don't want it to be so monotonous for them. Always having teenagers with powers fighting "evil" can get boring too. Vinland Saga already went a step outside of this anime group. I would have liked to go completely out for an anime. Especially A Place Further Than the Universe would have been a really nice change. 🥺

If you watch Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, you should watch the Dub version since the show takes place in a alternate future America.(Also I think you'll pleasantly surprised by one of the voice actors.)

Only bad thing about Cyberpunk is that it was too short, other than that everything about it is amazing. Highly recommend it!

Honestly my choice from these 5 would be Violet Evergarden as it’s higher up in my favourite shows than the other 4. But wouldn’t mind Cyberpunk or Ranking of Kings at all! As long as it’s not SxF I’m good 😄 No offense to anyone who loves that show I just didn’t vibe with it at all sadly.

The 2 replies are exactly right, people don’t love cyberpunk for its convoluted plot, it’s the human side of it, what this person goes through and what most in the show go through is so good to watch, and the girls understand that side to shows more than anyone I’ve seen, I’ve no doubt they’re going to love the show if it wins the poll

They don't seem like the best reactors for shounen. I love JJK and am super hyped for season 2 in like 10 days but it seems like most people here wouldn't appreciate that kind of show as much as the kind of stuff they've already been watching.

CYBERPUNK LETS GOOOOO. My personal AOTY for last year and an honestly incredible show that any anime fan needs to watch. It's only 10 episodes long but exudes so much style and passion it's almost ridiculous. Plus, it also contains one of my favourite anime episodes of all time... If it does end up winning, you guys should watch it in dub. There is absolutely nothing wrong with sub but for reasons that I cannot reveal I guarantee that most people here want you to watch it in dub lol.

The story is obvious it's not complicated.So you're not gonna make theories and discussions about the many secrets and lore. But that's not the reason why it's good it's more the emotions and how it make you feel during and afterwards. It's a human story first and futuristic si-fi story second

Yeah I agree, it’s not the same as other animes where you want to see the original art and stuff, because this seems geared towards english (for example subtitles for phone calls are animated in english, etc) Dub for sure over Sub for this show!

Cyberpunk Edgerunners needs to be the dubbed version in my opinion. I first watched the sub and it was great but I felt I missed a lot of stuff while reading subtitles. Then I realized the dub is crazy good and after rewatching it dubbed I liked the show even more.

Cyberpunk is so overrated to me it was good up until a certain episode and then the quality just plummets and to top it all of its so easy to predict what’s gonna happen. I really don’t see all the hype for the show
