Public Release: Parenthood Hard Mode

After a small rework, Parenthood Hard Mode is now ready for full release! Thank you to my patrons for your support!

If you had previously downloaded this mod, please delete the package file as this is now a pure script mod. This will lower the chances of mod conflicts and mostly future proof the mod against changes Maxis makes to statistics. Additionally, the penalty to character values from negative traits was too strong before so this should rectify that.

As much as I love the Parenthood pack and the character values system, it's a bit easy. Most of my Sims max out their Manners and Responsibility traits without much active effort on my part, and those two are the most overpowered in my opinion. Children rarely seem to act out or act up. This mod should change that.

Starting at toddler age, children now start at a random value in the red, ranging from 0 to -85. This keeps them out the range for the negative trait upon aging up, but squarely in range for negative autonomy. Plus, it means you'll have to actually earn the positive traits. Certain negative personality traits, as defined as Maxis, will increase the odds that a Sim starts in a much worse position than the average Sim, but positive traits will make them more likely to have a neutral or positive starting point.

Languages

This mod has no strings, so all languages can use it.

Requirements

This mod requires the Parenthood game pack for The Sims 4.

Installation

Unzip the winrar archive. Add the ts4script file to your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods folder or a subfolder in that directory. Since this is a script mod, it can only be placed one folder deep.
