Chapter 11 - New life in God of War

It wasn't just the strength that Faye had shown, her agility and technique were also impressive. During the run to face each other, she felt Faye's danger and tried to use magic, but it was as if the magic refused to harm Faye.
She had never seen anything like this before, and she felt that Faye hadn't shown any of her real strength.
With such strength helping her, her chances of turning against Odin would greatly increase.
"Alright, I admit my defeat, but you better keep your word, because I'd rather kill myself than be used once more." Freya admitted her defeat, but her spirit didn't seem defeated at all.
"Don't worry." Hyperion, who had approached, promised.
"Well, we haven't introduced ourselves yet. I'm Hyperion, and these are my two wives." Hyperion introduced himself.
"Faye of the Jötnar," Faye introduced herself, arms crossed. She no longer feared exposing her race.
"Kratos..." Kratos, as stoic as ever, introduced herself.
"She’s a goddess, my goddess, hahaha." Hyperion joked after finishing Kratos' introduction.
Kratos merely rolled her eyes, but there was a small smile on her lips.
Freya was surprised when Faye introduced herself as a Jötnar and cautious when Kratos was introduced as a goddess.
"And you, what’s your race?" Freya asked, pointing to Hyperion.
"My race is unique, my race is that of a passionate man!!" Hyperion said with pride and a firm look, as if he had a difficult mission.
Meanwhile, all the women had their mouths twitching.
"He doesn’t really have a race, you can just consider him a god." Faye said with a smile, shaking her head.
"Haha... Well, let's grab your stuff and head out on an adventure." Hyperion laughed and said.
He then walked over to the turtle, under Freya’s surprised gaze, and touched the turtle.
Freya, who saw the turtle starting to shake, became anxious, thinking they might be hurting her companion, and began to pull her sword from its sheath. But a delicate hand suddenly grabbed her hand and stopped her from drawing the sword.
"Calm down, he's not hurting the turtle!" Kratos, who was holding Freya, said. That didn’t reassure Freya at all, but soon her eyes widened.
Soon, the giant turtle began to shrink until it was small enough to fit in the palm of Hyperion's hand.
He then brought the small turtle, the size of a palm, to Freya and handed it to her.
"Here, just place it on the ground and say ‘expand turtle,’ and it will return to its normal size. Its house shrank too, so everything’s there. Hahaha!" Hyperion laughed at Freya's shocked expression.
"Chaurli, are you okay?" Freya said anxiously, speaking to the turtle in her hand.
"Arrr," the turtle made a small noise.
Freya released her anxiety when she heard the little voice of the turtle saying it was okay.
She soon felt a hand on her shoulder.
"Don’t worry, we're not bad people." Hyperion said.
Freya pulled away from Hyperion's hand, looked him in the eye, and said,
"We'll see."
Hyperion shrugged.
She knew nothing about them other than their names, which might not even be real, so being cautious didn’t offend him.
"Well, let’s hit the road. Over time, we’ll get to know each other better." Hyperion said and climbed onto Nymeria.
Soon, the wolf rose with them on top and began walking aimlessly.
Every now and then, some monsters attacked, and they got off and fought while holding back their strength.
Freya was confused watching this.
"Why do you waste so much time on weak monsters?" Freya asked doubtfully.
"It’s more fun this way, otherwise, it’d lose the thrill of the adventure!" Hyperion said, smiling broadly.
"We didn’t understand him either, but over time, we found it fun. Sometimes we bet on who defeats more or who’s more creative in giving themselves a disadvantage. You should’ve seen when Hyperion challenged Kratos to tie the Chaos Blades’ hilt to her feet and defeat the enemies by jumping on their heads with the blades, hahaha!" Faye said, laughing a lot remembering it.
Kratos had a slight blush on her face as she heard Faye telling the others about it.
Hyperion also burst out laughing.
Thus, their adventure in Midgard lasted another 9 months, and they had already explored all of Midgard.
Faye finally decided to tell her feelings to Hyperion. During the adventure, they had grown very close, especially with the influence of the girls who already had a relationship with Hyperion, and Freya saw the love between them. It was pure love, very different from what she had with Odin. She envied that love, and the more she got to know Hyperion, the more she found herself falling in love with his funny and kind nature.
Moreover, Hyperion always took any chance he got to intimidate her.
"Freya, actually, there’s something I have to tell you before you go ahead with these feelings. Actually, from the beginning, I intended to free you from Odin, but there were two methods. The first was to go to the place where you and Odin married and break the branches of the World Tree that were holding your curse..." Hyperion said seriously, looking into Freya’s eyes.
Freya was startled when she heard that; she hadn’t expected any of this when she declared her feelings to Hyperion.
She was also stunned by Odin’s cruelty in essentially making Nidhogg the guardian of the curse that chained her to Midgard.
"The second method was to use my powers to erase your marriage to Odin, so that he never touched you, and neither did you him. You’d keep your memories of having married him and him of marrying you, but any intimate contact would be erased, it would practically never have happened. I’m talking about high-level time manipulation." Hyperion said seriously.
Freya was shocked upon hearing this. She knew Hyperion was powerful, but she never thought he was that powerful.
"Well, if you can do this without paying a great price, I’d be more than happy to have it done, but is it really possible?" Freya said hesitantly. After all, the more powerful something was, the higher the price. Her curse against Baldur brought immortality to everything except mistletoe, but in return, he couldn’t feel anything, no touch, no taste.
"Actually, it costs nothing but magic; it's very easy for me. The problem is there’s something you won’t like about the consequences. Since you never had any relationship with Odin, Baldur would never have existed. Although I can make him continue his existence, he won’t carry your lineage, though he will still have his memories of you as his mother," Hyperion said, closely observing Freya’s reactions.
When he said Baldur would never exist, he felt a strong rejection from Freya. Well, he wouldn’t admit it, but he was saddened by that, although he understood. It hadn’t even been a year since they met, and asking her to value something more than a son to a mother, especially a son she’d had for over 100 years, was too much to ask, especially for a psychopathic mother like Freya.
