It's interesting hearing how adaptable his voice and how he can sound like a different person at times and the control he has with that.
When it comes to his falsetto and the higher parts of his chest voice he loses sense of dynamics and clarity which is a shame cos his lowers are very rich and i suspect he used it most when he was mainly a rapper.
In a group like ATEEZ I don't see him feeling the pressure to reaally improve his vocals much since San, Jongho and at times Yunho carry so much with their vocals.
But it was great getting an insight into his vocals.

2025-06-21 01:13:58 +0000 UTCI was so looking forward to this reaction! I loved that he Seonghwa got to showcase his vocals, because he tends to be more known for his performance on stage. I do hope that he gets the chance to work more on his falsetto. Like you said, it's very breathy/airy, but I think if he just got some more training on techniques, he could make it stronger. But with Jongho, San, and Wooyoung, there's not much opportunity or need for him to sing in falsetto in Ateez's music. The only time was probably in Utopia. I really enjoyed the duet for Sugar Sweet. I tend to prefer when Seonghwa sings Korean songs over songs in English, because I feel his tongue placement when speaking English can give him a sort of lisp (not that there's anything wrong with that), but I can really see the improvement and work he put in for this cover. It was really clean. I honestly would love for Lee Mujin and Seonghwa to release the duet officially lol. The DPR Ian part was too cute! Seonghwa is such a successful fan lol. I hope he gets that chance to have a meal with him. ❤️
