What on earth was with this woman?
I snuck a glance at her but quickly looked away. Why did her gaze make me feel like some scumbag who’d abandoned his wife? “Ridiculous, completely ridiculous,” I muttered to myself.
Tsunade noticed and turned to me, frowning. “What are you mumbling about?”
“Uh, nothing.” I immediately dodged the question and changed the subject. “Have you wrapped things up?”
“Pretty much.” A slight smile tugged at Tsunade’s lips, making her look radiant. “Now it’s time for them to hash out the details themselves.”
“Oh,” I replied, nodding.
We all knew what “hashing out the details” meant. The Sand Village wasn’t thrilled with Tsunade’s strict conditions; they’d probably drag this out to vent their frustration and try to get a better deal. What we’d agreed on so far was just a draft; a full resolution would need negotiations between both villages—a long, tiresome process.
After a brief silence, Tsunade asked, “So why are you the only one here? Where are Kurenai and Shizune?”
“They were tired, so I told them to rest with the rear troops.”
Tsunade gave me a sidelong look. “Didn’t think a guy like you could be considerate.”
What? Since when was I not considerate? And why did that sound… layered?
I scratched my head in frustration. “Sensei, I’m not quite sure what you’re getting at…”
Tsunade rolled her eyes but then asked, “Come on, out with it. Which one are you going to pick?”
“Huh? Sensei, I really don’t get it!” My head was starting to hurt. Were all women this gossipy?
“Oh, don’t try to fool me,” she snorted. “Or are you just greedy, planning to keep both of them?”
B-Both?
I froze up, as if a door to a new world had swung wide open in my mind.
“Seeing your reaction, you were thinking about it, huh!” Tsunade gave me a wicked smile. “Just don’t say I didn’t warn you—trying to date two girls at once could go very wrong.”
Trying to date two could go wrong? What about three or four? Maybe then it’d be stable, right?
No, no! I couldn’t think that way. I was a decent guy! Besides, I had Konan. Wasn’t that enough?
A harem… Although it sounded tempting, wasn’t it a bit wrong? I started imagining myself surrounded by Konan, Kurenai, Shizune, Mii, and even my stunning teacher standing before me!
My once-resolute heart began to waver. Tsunade caught me spacing out again, and a chuckle escaped her, though there was something bittersweet in her eyes. Before I knew it, she was smacking me on the head. “You’re not daydreaming about something bad again, are you?”
“N-No!” I yelped, clutching my head. “I’d never imagine adding you to the harem, Sensei!” The words slipped out, and my face instantly burned with embarrassment. “Sorry!”
“You’re unbelievable!” Tsunade’s hands tightened as she pinched my cheeks. “Planning a harem? Aren’t we ambitious!”
But for some reason, she didn’t seem offended—in fact, there was a hint of happiness? Had she gone mad, or was I imagining things?
Her grip tightened involuntarily, and I groaned, begging for mercy.
Not far away, Pakura watched my predicament, her mouth twitching as if she wanted to say something but ultimately hesitated. Maybe it was the memory of me telling her, “I don’t want to see you again,” that made her stop herself.
A sound from the Sand Village’s camp caught Tsunade’s attention, finally making her let go. It seemed the Fourth Kazekage and the elders had reached a final agreement.
At last, it was time to leave.
I exhaled in relief, just about to turn and go, when the system’s voice echoed in my head.
[New mission generated.]
Kiss the Fourth Kazekage in her vagina.
Kiss Chiyo on her lips.
Kiss Ebizo in the ass.
Kiss Pakura after removing all your clothes.
What the heck? I almost spat out the drink I didn’t even have. Seriously?! Was this the system’s brilliant idea of symbolizing friendship between the Leaf and Sand?
Fine! You win, system!
Suppressing a grimace, I dashed over to Pakura and, before she could react, kissed her right on the lips.
[Congratulations, host. Mission complete. Reward: 50 days of cultivation progress, dragon growth cycle extended by five years.] As the message rang in my ears, I vanished from sight.
Pakura stood there, stunned for a moment, then slowly touched her lips, a soft smile spreading across her face.
