Nostalgia Lane: My 1999 Setup
Added 2024-06-23 16:30:04 +0000 UTCFor your eyes only, I found something unexpected on some VHS tapes, a fleeting glimpse of one of my "retro" computer setups. Not my C64 or Amiga sadly (though I still hope to find something some day), but my Sony VAIO PC. This is the same desk that the Amiga sat on 5 years earlier.
To the right you can see my Korg Wavestation and Yamaha (Edit:) QY70 I believe.
Above is my family's original NAD amp and radio, a Sony cassette deck and CD player, Alesis EQ, and some other rack equipment; a Multiverb I think, and something else. Oh and a Yamaha mixer to the left of those.
To the right of the monitor is some fan art of me as a Naboo pilot, as I'd filmed that in 1997-1999, so I guess the movie had just come out here.
Edit: I had a work line for my company Ismo Ltd. then, which was where we designed and manufactured Nokia accessories like the SnakeBITE! Joystick and wind-up! hands free cable tidy. So this was "head office" for all that! Hence the two phone lines.
