New version coming within the next 3 days.

I just wanted to let everyone know ahead of time that I will be releasing the next version of this game within the next three days. I am currently tying together the scripts and testing the new content. There is a fair bit of new content, but at the same time I feel I haven't achieved all the goals I had for this update. However I fully realize that the wait at this point is already obscene.
I'll give you a few more details on exactly why it took so long after the release. It's for a postive reason, but it was the kind of commitement that required me to put this project on the backburner while I figured things out, but right now I just wanted everyone to know I'm confident the game will be in everyone's hands within three days. I have some more exciting plans for the future that I want to share with everyone.
Lastly, just a quick reminder to everyone that I will be messaging everyone who was a patron between June 10th and July 11th in 2023 with a copy of the game regardless of their current membership status, so keep an eye on your inbox.

Especially since when it comes to the choices each new choice essentually doubling the workload each time a new one was introduced. The previous update was a lot smaller scale than this current one. Going through each activity and logically working out what needs to be available/set up for each scene was very time consuming as you've accurately pointed out. That and I've generally heightened my standard as to what an acceptable output looks like. I naively assumed that was something I brute force with sheer willpower. It was not. Like I mentioned elsewhere. I'll be setting up a discord after I release this so people can keep better tabs on my work and the fact that I'm alive by checking my status. I can't think you enough for your support by the way, it's difficult for me to articulate that kind of gratitude. I have quite backlog of messages to go through at this time, but I feel this reply deserves an adequate response becuase I think your feelings accurately reflect a good number of people who follow the project. Hopefully this update won't disappoint, I feel the content that is there is quite good after going over it during scripting.

I also don't even mind that your updates are very slow. But what I do mind is your lack of communication. All I ask is that you assure me I'm not just giving you money that I tend to work hard for. Just say hey project isn't dead here's such and such as a teaser. Show progress. Will I be disappointed after so long waiting? Yes, but I won't stop supporting you because I know you're at least working on it. I really thought this was dead and I liked it so much but you have got to communicate better. Set realistic goals and perhaps don't put so much into these updates. By now you should have an idea of how much you can add in an alloted time. If a feature couldn't make it tell us said feature was to much and will be in next update but I wanted to get you guys something because I know you were waiting.

2024-01-23 14:27:16 +0000 UTCI understand fear of failure and dissapointment is very real, however again, I stress the fact that with no form of communication whatsoever leads people to assume and come to their own conclusions. It makes it look like you died, or an even happened which completely prevented any and all form of communication. Whilst I recognise it feels shitty to "string people along as it were", everyone I know prefers it to total silence. Please in future be more active in even just saying you're alive and something is happening, or that you have the intention of making something happen. If people are unhappy with this, they'd be just as unhappy with radio silence.

2024-01-23 13:04:19 +0000 UTCI know. It was pretty slack of me. I didn't want to keep coming back with "please wait two more weeks" each time. I was feeling a certain pressure to deliver and didn't want to come back empty handed. I know a lot of people really like this project, so not being able to deliver was a very awkward thing for me. I really don't like disappointing people. Even though everyone has been more that patient with me. That's totally on me though. If I was to cancel the project I would let people know ahead of time. When I release the project I'll also set up a discord server to get in contact with me. It's a much easier means to get in touch with me and people can see when I'm online and working.
