Super Mario World Supplies

Hello Patrons! The Super Mario World episode is underway. As I continue research, I have started purchasing supplies for the episode. Here is what I have so far.

Super Mario World (Super Famicom)

While North America got Super Mario World packaged with the console, players in Japan had to buy the game separately! Luckily it was a launch title. The box and manual have some great artwork that I plan to use in the video. And of course, I'll need to capture footage.

Super Famicom

We can't talk about Super Mario World without talking about the Super Famicom. The two are forever intertwined. I quickly realized I didn't have a Super Famicom, so I solved that problem.

Super Mario World: Official Guidebooks

These are the official guidebooks for Super Mario World, published by APE (the same company behind the Mother series!). They contain amazing photos, artwork, and interviews from the development team!

Nintendo Dream Magazine

Nintendo Dream has several exclusive interviews with Shigeru Miyamoto where he discusses the making of all the Super Mario games, so I'm hoping to pull some great Super Mario World information from them.

Super Mario World in Box

I always try to get games complete in box for filming purposes. This was one tough to acquire. Because the game was packaged with the console, Nintendo didn't produce a lot of boxed copies of Super Mario World. I finally found one at a decent price, so I'm excited I'll be able to get some B-roll. It's the players choice version, but it'll do!

That's it for me this week! If you can think of some other Super Mario World purchases, let me know in the comments below!
