OP64: A Convenient Alliance

"We're here... it was a lot faster thanks to you".

Veyron made the Kuja Ship fly in the direction of Primrose's log pose, it was a faster journey by a long shot, they didn't have any time to lose. Shawty, the vice-captain of the Kuja Pirates was a woman Veyron held a great deal of appreciation for and if anything happened to her, he didn't know what he'd do.

They docked the ship and landed on Mock Town officially.

"We don't know where this man is. Keep your eyes open and don't separate. Are you going right away, Veyron?".

"No, I'll stay with you for a while and look for this man I know you want to deal with this, but I am also fond of the Kuja Pirates, you can't deny my concern".

"I get it sweetie but trust me a bit, okay...? I'm not a little girl" Prim wanted to kiss him but they were too exposed to engage in intimacy.

"Mom, stop flirting with him in public!" Hancock pouted and pulled her fiance's arm.

The mother sighed and gave up her desires just for now, it wasn't the best moment. Not when there was a dirty fiend out there whose blood she wished to shed on the dry sand.

"Rather than waiting for the man to make a move, we could also try to lure him out. Try to get any information you can from him and if we can get any of his crewmates hostage, that's for the best. He's probably going to try to get you in a situation where it will be alone versus one" Veyron mumbled.

"That's exactly what I want..." Primrose growled.

"Very well, but don't underestimate this guy still".

"Talking about that, little brother... I think it is not good for you to be walking around like this" Sandersonia looked him up and down, he was wearing traditional Amazon Lily clothes that were confectioned just for him, but his face was the same as the one in his wanted poster.

"You're right... let me do something about it, We don't want too much attention or the guy may flee when he realises that I'm with you".

"Seriously?" Mother and daughters all deadpanned when he came back with his brilliant idea to conceal his identity during their journey in Mock Town.

"It is bullet-proof... no one will know it is me".

Veyron levitated, he was covered in a white mantle and once again Youbi was wrapped in cloth, this time white instead of black.

"Dark Mantle?"

"No, I'm Light Mantle... Dark Mantle's twin".

Hancock smiled broadly and nodded in appreciation and respect, she thought this disguise was going to work, she was the only one that had faith. Marigold and Sandersonia laughed their asses off, as for Primrose, she rubbed her forehead in exasperation.

"Baby, sometimes you make me feel you have the mind of an adult in the body of a child, sometimes... sometimes I'm clueless. Do you really think this is going to work?".

"Darling, just keep doing what you're doing!" Even Hancock wasn't that hopeful, but her love blinded her.

Veyron approached someone and this time -compared to the past- he could fake out a more mature voice, the person in question looked like a decent pirate with a bounty of at least a hundred thousand bellies, he was docking his boat.

"Hey, I'm looking for a man".

"And who the hell are you, huh!?" Being approached all of a sudden by a person whose whole body was covered in a white mantle... he nearly had a heart attack since he didn't even hear any steps.

Veyron turned towards them and both the princess and the empress gasped in disbelief. As for Marigold and Sandersonia, their jaws were already on the floor.

'M-Maybe he doesn't know who Dark Mantle is'.

"I'm Light Mantle, but I'm looking for Dark Mantle... he's my twin brother. I'll defeat him and bring him back home, he's been a naughty little prick that sleeps with several women on a daily basis, some of them are even mothers and daughters, I have to correct him".

"What a wicked bastard, I didn't have dark mantle for such an evil person" The man's face turned into one of disgust and disappointment.

'What a wicked bastard indeed!' The boa sisters and mother all grit their teeth.

"Listen, you better forget about your brother, pal. He must be dead meat right now with that bounty and a 'DEAD' wanted poster, never seen that in my life. If I was you I'd stop involving myself where I'm not called. Now get out of my sight before I- HAAA!!"

*SPLASH!*

Veyron waved his hand softly and the man was sent flying to the sea, he was being a little annoying.

"See? It is bulletproof. People in this world are not that clever, trust me!"

'What a wicked bastard'.

The four girls pouted profusely a little astonished that he was aware the relationship they shared was not something bright in the eyes of many, if that wasn't enough he dared to say that the inhabitants of this world were dumb overall, 'As if you're not from here yourself!'.

"I-I mean... not all of them! Of course, my beautiful girls are exceptions!"

Their expressions changed once they were praised to one of happiness and glee.

Veyron sighed in deep relief, 'Told ya'.

Mock Town, from the distance, looked like a paradise... a resort where only those who wanted a good life came to experience it. Nothing farther from the truth.

Public dispute, public executions, public harassment, drunkards everywhere, pirates pissing at every corner. What was worse was that Primrose and her daughters seemed to be habituated. She didn't feel it was odd at all.

'Was it this bad in the manga? I haven't been here for a day and I already want to leave'.

Primrose, Marigold, Sandersonia and Hancock were getting a lot of attention. It was no secret that the pirates from Amazon Lily were the most coveted and admired by the opposite gender.

"That disgraceful fiend told me to come to Mock Town and now he's nowhere to be seen!" She yelled out loudly, trying to make the man come out even to keep his dignity, but now that they were here, she had no way to even tell if he was on this island or not.

"Who are you looking for? If you allow me".

The group of Amazon Lily turned around to see two marines standing in front of them.

"Vice Admiral Tsuru..." Primrose recognised her, as the oldest out of the group and the empress of Amazon Lily, she was the one to talk. But she did make a few hand signs to her daughters.

"I don't want to make a commission, young pirates. I'm here for one person only, I don't care about any of you".

The old lady settled her eyes on Veyron.

"You are?".

"I'm Light Mantle".

"..."

There was a brief moment of silence as the woman looked at him up and down.

"How do you relate to Dark Mantle?".

"He's my twin brother".

"I see, Do you know what your twin brother is sought for?"

"He has mental health issues".

"That's right... that and more. I hope you stay away from the path of piracy, but since you're accompanied by the Kuja, that must be impossible. In any case, if any of you have information on Peter Hornigold. I'd be delighted".

"Peter Hornigold is the person I'm hunting, Tsuru... he has kidnapped my Vice Captain and slaughtered half of my crew!".

Primrose's conqueror haki let loose for a moment, it was felt by both ladies who shockingly stood on guard immediately as if they sensed imminent danger.

"You have gotten stronger, Boa Primrose" Tsuru remarked and lifted her arm up before Gion could make her move. She had a great deal of intel on many pirates and she was naturally one of them, not only was she a pirate but she was also the empress of Amazon Lily who also ruled many nearby islands by proxy.

"My apologies, but this situation has me and my daughters a little stressed. It would be nice if you could share with us any information you have about this fellow".

"Everything is an equal exchange but if it is information we're after... I know the better place to go" Tsuru started walking away, expecting to be followed.

"What should we do?" Primrose asked Veyron whose eyes were fixed on Tsuru's back, Gion turned around to look at them just once, especially him, before chasing after Tsuru.

"We follow her for now. I think those two came here with a specific mission and don't intend to waste time with anything else. Let's stick to them for now".

Hancock and the sisters nodded and after they reached an agreement, the whole group stuck to Tsuru's back, their destination unknown.
