Actually I was already surprised that it was 2nd degree murder they were up for and not 1st- the distinction being pre-meditation. What's more premeditated than buying up tarps and Drano and even the shovel left at the body dump site before the murder? Stealing a phone. Etc. And I was a little shocked that they worked 6 weeks to "build a case" on Paul when they already had the others. Like what maybe she was "hey honey I'm gonna buy these 20 bottles of Drano ok? We might need it at the new place." and he was like "Oh, sure whatever"? I mean it's OBVIOUS he was involved. So here's a clue - in the interview with the detective he's asked why he thinks Paul T. was involved. His answer? "Er, well uh you know, just 'cause. I mean he SEEMs like he would be I think". And the plucky reporter then proceeds to enumerate any number of plausible reasons; carrying the body, hitting Craig on the head etc etc. So once again the police seem kinda dumb.
