RESTARTING

Hey y'all! Been a hot minute.

If it hasn't been obvious enough, I really let this place kinda fall apart shortly after starting things up. I'm really sorry to have completely dropped the ball on that, and even more sorry that I took forever to even get around to addressing it properly or doing anything here.

While I enjoyed writing the tutorials, it was still quite a daunting task for me at the time & I was always pushing my standards way above what I should have been. Due to this, I ended up getting stuck on a follow up tutorial, and then on top of that I took up a contract job that required my full time & focus, and between that, procrastination, and eventually anxiety, I basically left this space untouched & uninformed, and I'm not happy about that.

All that being said, I'd like to finally pick up the pieces and revive this space, and give myself an excuse to put out some of the dozens of experiments & prototypes I've let pile up on my own hard drive, among other parts of my output that I haven't been able to put out there or make any sort of financial return on.

While I'd still like to write some tutorials on certain subjects here & there, I think I'd like to focus primarily on sharing some of the more experimental stuff I've been working on, treating this place as a more proper patronage resource for the kind of works I ultimately *want* to do, rather than exclusively treating it like a job where the output made for it is disconnected from what I'm most interested in (and, honestly, what intrigues most people enough to even follow me in the first place).

I have a number of old & recent software/game prototypes I'd like to sort into an accessible directory to coincide with this revival. They're mostly just small experiments exploring tech or visuals, but still things I'm sure people would be into! I've also been putting a lot of work into music production & streaming + stream tech, which I'd also be happy to share work on over here.

I want this place to be fully representative of my highly varied output, so no matter what part of my work you're most interested in (art, music, dev, photography, streaming, videos + commentary, etc), you'll find it all here!

TL;DR:

I fell into a guilt loop & let this place fall apart, but I'm finally sucking up my anxiety and reviving this space fully, as I want to start stuff up again & use this as a place to fund & share my independent projects. So yeah!

That's it for now! I'll be working on updating a lot of this space over the next couple days, though I will be sure to leave up the previous articles I wrote 5 years ago (and maybe later provide some updated information).

I cannot wait to share more of the stuff I love making, and I'm so excited to have this place potentially allow me to make more of that stuff full time! See y'all real soon.
