INTEMPERANCE X - Chapter 19, Get on Your Bad Motor Scooter and Ride
Added 2025-10-08 07:46:46 +0000 UTCAnd here we bring the story back to Jake and Campus operations. Kind of. I can't promise this chapter will be as funny as the last, but it was very fun to write and it does move the plot along. Let me know how I'm doing. And, for central coast people, I know there is not really a Harley shop in Atascadero. For legal reasons I had to create my own shop.

You know. That is a really good idea. As soon as I read that, the entire scene just flooded into my brain. This is why I encourage Patron suggestions. I don't use many of them, but I get some true gems from time to time. Never would have occurred to me otherwise.

2025-10-09 07:54:23 +0000 UTCI think maybe I'm just fatalistic after 30 + years of dealing with medical and traumatic injuries. When it's your time, it's your time, and for all we know, this is the only life we get. Enjoy yourself (within reason). Motorcycles, I will admit, are on that borderline of too dangerous. Still, I've been riding them for 30 years as well and I've dropped a bike a couple times, but never actually crashed one. Not yet, anyway. And I've developed a lot of fun and memories from it. I respect your choice to stay away. Hopefully you respect mine to take the chance.

2025-10-09 07:53:44 +0000 UTCCap's demeanour, greeting Denise with a simple “Sup!”, and then saying, “fuck-it!” is hilarious. Great story, Al, keep it up. The story of both Caydee and Cap would be fascinating. Maybe you can add some future pieces of when Cap starts to converse by forming his own way of speaking - that would be very interesting and I am looking forward to these stories.

2025-10-09 07:31:01 +0000 UTCLofl! Seems Cap is a handful you’ve gotta love. I had a bike in the early 90’s. Someone pulled a u-turn in front of me on an on-ramp/offramp. Went against then under him, an older Scout suv, then got dragged a bit. Broken elbows a pie slice of radius removed the next year. Almost lost my dick in the slide. 2 kids under 6 yrs old! Wife didn’t make me sell it, just told me they always wondered if I’d come home. If I died…time tempers everything. If I was injured into a veg she’d hate me cuz it didn’t have to happen. In our family I was the only one who loved it. I decided riding a bike with a young wife and kids was one of the most selfish things I could ever do! Sold it within a month. I salivate every time one goes by but I love my family more. Just sayin
