LIVING IN SIN - Chapter 23, What My Eyes Have Seen
Added 2025-09-15 12:50:17 +0000 UTCHere is the next chapter of LIS. Free, as always. This one has some imagery in it that may disturb some readers. Not sex, just life. My eyes have seen it. It is real. That is why it is in this work. Don't eat a sandwich while reading this one.

I'm just happy none of the deputies accidentally OD'd on Fentanyl fumes. In the few years I was dispatching, Fresno PD and Fresno deputies had something like 8 accidental OD's on that shit. No deaths, thank the Gods, but our crews and the LEOs sure blew through a ton of Narcan. We had a bunch of 1144s thanks to that China Girl shit.

2025-09-16 01:20:27 +0000 UTCThat was a real call I was once on, with details changed a bit to protect the privacy rights, but with the basic premise intact. It was actually therapeutic to write it out and share it. I feel like someone pulled out an infected tooth.

2025-09-16 01:13:20 +0000 UTCI was immediately reminded of my mom's stories from when she worked part time with the ambulance. Her day job was an OR nurse and this was before paramedics were a thing in rural areas like ours. She told of a similar call to the one in the story as the reason she could no longer stomach the sight of rice. Their patient had fallen down and was alone for a few days before a welfare check was made. He was alive, mostly, but did have some parts that weren't, if you know what I mean.
