Hellooo and what a day it's been! Thanks again to everyone getting on the Honest Men train :) Here is tomorrow's YouTube video, my audio commentary on the track! x x

I think Honest Men is a very beautiful song! Kind of music like it should be. (I think everyone needs this kind of music, some more often than others...) The sound hits your feelings and digs somewhere deep into your soul and mind. At first you listen the sad, almost ominous melody, and want to hear it again and again. Then you understand the lyrics and you shed more tears. But after few (or many) listenings (and two days of metaphorical thinking) it blows your mood from boiling depths to higher mountains. Because you realize there is a hidden tone of hope inside those highest notes. 💖 Class! 💖 Thank You! PS. I'm happy to follow your musical journey! -When the snows fall... ...but the pack survives.- PPS. And I'm very happy because I know that you will maintain the quality till the end of this album and beyond.

I just sat down and watched this...I hope you know I am always here for you kiddo. I think back to when I stumbled on your little YouTube page and about 4 videos in I was hooked. I knew almost immediately that you were truly an amazing human and vowed to do whatever I could to help you be successful. I am glad you are doing so much better nowadays and I hope you are feeling and accepting all the love directed your way. You are enough 🤗💞

I know exactly what you mean about SAD, I'm getting a sunlight lamp to hopefully help with my own, and I am glad you've got healthy ways of dealing, such as writing songs like this. All the love.

I remember the walk you took us on that winter...I must admit I was really worried about you back then. But then I reflected on my own experience having experienced the seasonal mood swings myself. When I processed those thoughts, I calmed down, knowing that as with myself, this too would pass for you. I am really impressed that you were able to focus on creating something like "Honest Men" despite the dark place you were in. Well done, and much like the title, this is one of the most honest songs I have ever heard...

After I had a stroke my mind had dark thoughts of life and wondering where I was going. Over a year later, things are still tough but I am a survivor/ I had lost my leg in the service and years later a stroke. So I have survived. Looking at the song I love it because it shows a dark inner core. I was in a dark place but you can come out. Love you Janet

Sometimes we all have to go outside our comfort zone, sometimes a good thing, sometimes not! But i think we all learn more about ourselves, by going through our issues. Really love the song, as it relates to something that has happened in your life. Every song tells a story, good or bad! 💖💖

The song is just amazing, we really love it. Your deep voice is just beautiful. And we are blown away by the fact that you wrote ALL of it, so you should be doubly and justifiably proud. So glad you decided to release it. It is a stunning song. 🤗🌹

Janet, are you going to release some more Christmas and New Year songs in the future? The half albums you were releasing previous years were some of my favourites.

very insightful, though I did totally call the metaphor you went over, but as we both know eachother very well, that's not surprising. I did get that chain gang vibe, though I pictured someone who'd escaped a chain gang only to get lost wandering in the desert and knowing he'd probably either get caught and end up in prison for life or die out in the desert. It had that chain gang vibe combined with the slight western vibe and mention of vulture so that's where I went. I'm dying for more solo Janet songs because it's FANTASTIC to hear songs that don't stick to the same darn structure. Some of my favorite music is weird old stuff like the weird side of Rush and other music nerd prog rock and stuff where people REALLY flipped convention on it's head and ran with it and it sounded amazing. You're more talented than you'll probably ever realize and I'm so incredibly glad you're starting to put out your "weird" stuff because that's how you really grow, buddy. I'm proud of you ❤ sorry for the novel :P
