Affirmation

Hello friends, here's tomorrow's YouTube video in advance as usual - this one was pretty hard as it was me saying nice things about myself!! Got there eventually ❤️️

Just a reminder -  you're part of my Patreon community who gets access to my videos before they're released more widely. So let's keep this one between us - but feel free to share it once it's live on YouTube tomorrow!

Nice mantra to read every morning and night!

Addendum...I forgot to mention that your choice to wear your Winnie the Pooh outfit was the proverbial icing on the cake for that reading!

You summed it up so well at the end....WOO!!! What a strong and delightful declaration of your right to self hood and affirmations of that self you've become. I'm so glad for you that you have come to see all the good and talent in yourself. As is said, it's a 'warts and all' relationship to ourselves that serves us best.

Tucker

just now signed up. kept looking for new things on youtube and decided to come here. you really have a way with words, a good grasp of language and thought.

Mary

That was like an anthem, a beautiful testament to your own acceptance of self. I have to listen to it a few more times because there is so much there and there are words that we should all be proud to speak. You're going to need to publish a nicely bound book for your verses.

I am happy to support an artist, and really nice person like you

I was raised by immigrant parents...my mom from Ireland and my dad from Scotland...one of the things they instilled in us at a young age was to minimize our accomplishments and they were quite strict with this approach...their argument was that they were trying to instill a sense of humility in us as we grew into adulthood...the side affect of this, for me, has been a real difficulty whenever I hear compliments from others and when I try to talk about my strengths...even though the logical part of my brain understands that I have done things that are worth applauding, there is a part of me that still hears mom and dad's voices when I start to talk about myself...I don't blame them for the way I was raised, they were doing the best that they could...I just need to remind myself from time to time that it's OK to tell the voices to shut up when it is appropriate...:-)

I also need help... I've been alone in London for over a year. All I want is someone to buy a beer (and I work for a craft beer company)...

Well... No Effing Mother Sh **t Sherlock??!!! Come on mate?!... Yes, life is hard ad that's why people like me are here... But don't sell it short... You're always trying to minimise what you've been through and that kinda annoys me, because I've through, just like you, through gob shite! (But I kinda feel that you have had it worse...) You've been through "hell and back" and the word "Hell" means a "casual Thursday"... You are a force of nature and... *goes into personal rant* you stop doubting yourself and just start being the person you want to be...

Ivan Jeta

Each time you talk about this Janet I think I understand a little bit more what you’re going through. For many it is hard to understand that someone so gifted could have these self doubts, but that was clearly hard for you to read. So, well done you! And thanks for sharing. Remember, people who say nice things about you and what you have achieved are not saying them just to be nice. They are not mis-truths, your fans say these things because you are brilliant at what you do, they understand and feel that, and they want you to know it. They know your true worth, and they want you to know it too.
