Commissions Pricing Guidelines

Commissions are limited to patrons in the Slave Tier ($5) and above.  While I do want to make the service available to supporters as thanks for their generosity, I do not want my primary activity to become a commissioning service.

Handling commissions can be a tricky thing, and in the past, I have not always been able to do it well. There were many occasions where I wanted to do work but couldn't because personal circumstances got in the way, and there were occasions where I would take on a job and realized that the way I priced my work was probably mistaken in both the amount and measure.

I don't have a great deal of first-hand knowledge of how other people handle the process, but I have always worked hard to try and make sure my customers walk away happy with the best image I can give them, and so far I am happy to say I have not had a bad experience with a customer yet.

That all being said, I have had to raise the price a little bit across the board to reflect the time and effort I put into the commissions themselves, or I will not be able to justify the time I spend doing them. Additionally, due to how I typically create my images, there is no meaningful reason to include line art and simple colors separately anymore. If you want a black and white line art image I can still provide it but no longer at a reduced cost.

The Golden Rule for my commissions is complexity. A fairly normal character is going to cost roughly what it says on the price guide, but if you want them covered in detailed belts and buckles and bondage gear, grow four arms and two heads, and while having 6 eyes all in different styles, then I am going to charge you what I estimate the work entails. Conversely, very simple characters can potentially cost less than the price guide.
