Hey Tex. I enjoyed reading The Legionnaire, it was a nice surprise. A light hearted and interesting newspaper, is a rare thing for me. I'm looking forward to next issue. I have a Question for you. A young friend of mine, has decided to try to giv Youtube a shot. Do you have some idea, how to best show him support, on the platform?

Hey Tex! (Save voice if you like) Couple of questions… I know you thoroughly enjoy Ultimate admiral (it’s been awesome to play) have you tried the Naval Ops games from the PS2 days? Not quite the same, but love the ship customization and the absolute shenanigans you can get into with those games. Also, have you ever seen the original Steel Battalion? That controller was a blast (original Xbox) Thank you for the magistratum manual! Just going through your traveler play-through on the podcast. I thoroughly enjoyed the MIC episodes whenever they pop up. Even chased down a few book to read from them. Take care and have fun!

Akaelik

Loved the Inspector Gadget Easter egg in the MAGISTRATUM MANUAL had me a good laugh at that.

All Ones

Save the voice, good sir. Loving the book! I have been absorbed and working a way to get this into my gaming table. I would like to ask you about Perry. Prior to you, I have always dismissed poetry. However since being introduced to the BPL and your reading, I have been intrigued. I have a mother going through dementia, coupled with marital issues. It’s been a very tumultuous year for me. I wanted to ask if there are any poetry books to help a novice understand and to better appreciate poetry, (I.e certain authors or collections that would be personal library-worthy). A gigantic thank to you, the BPL, and the Aux for helping cope thru my issues. I am primarily silent in commenting on the discord bc of reasons. You have answered my paetron messages before (dealing with difficult coworkers) in the past. Thank you for being a light in the storm for me. P.S please give Mike a thank you from me. Star Track and Magistratum Mundanus are my go-to’s to relax. Praise be to Zorg.

Save Voice Mister Tex Love the Magistratum book! Thank you and the team! Preparing to build my first campaign to run for my friends, one question though. What aspects of DH1 did u find necessary to bring into DH2? Or was it the other way around? I ask this because I am thinking of primarily using DH2 as it seems to be regarded as the superior system, but I’d like to avoid overlooking stuff from DH1 that brought a certain magic to your MM game.

Save voice mister tex. So I got to meet a train engineer a few months back. He openly braged about blowing the horn when he drove thru a small town on his route. So some small confirmation that they do it on purpose. ( I commented this on the previous episode but I'm dumb and didn't see this one)

FlammablePig

Just wanted to say that the Mundanus books looks great, great job to you and your team.

I have a question for you Tex. From watching your Admiral Dreadnaughts features, I have really enjoyed the history portion you give out. Especially about the mechanics like picnic acid, had to look that up, but it was fun and fascinating enjoyed. My question: can you explain what you mean by turbines as far as engines for ships. If you ever wanted to little shorts on that kind of stuff I would find it interesting but not sure it would get the views you need to make it worthwhile but a thought. Thanks Tex for all you do to make my YT experience enjoyable!

Tempest Crow

Hey there, Tex. Good as always to hear from you, spare your voice if needed. MOST EXCITED about the Magistratum Mundanus manual. Grigglak and Friends is still my lady friend's favorite relaxing activity, and we're still working through Tex Talks BattleTech. Joy of the day to you and the team, Don't Let The Bastards Grind Ya Down, and Northwind Forever!

Bolo Unit BRL of the Line

Seems I'm hopping on the Traveller GMing bandwagon. Starting off with Murder in Arcturus station and going on from there. Also inspired hidden gem of a game from 1989, Space Rogue yes I am that old). A little game about unraveling vast conspiracies and blasting fools with nuclear warheads....IN SPACE! Wish me luck.

Lessons Learned

G'Day Tex I was delighted to see that the Magistratum Mundanus manual was available as I was keen to pass it on to a friend who I have been hosting a Superheroes RPG for (Sentinels of the Multiverse, which I kinda served as a proof reader for their core rulebook) I thought I would also send them a link for the Aux, but when I went to the page on the BPL website I was shocked to see that my LEGO Marauder and Locust mech build was featured in the gallery. As a sufferer of depression and anxiety myself I have learnt to take joy in the little things, to keep the big things out of my head, and sir, that small thing made my fucking day. I shared it among some members of my LEGO community and it has actually inspired me. I was unsure what I was going to submit as a build for next year's Brickvention but seeing that, I might give the Mad Cat & Catapult a go. Might be biting off more that I can chew, but at least there will be some commonality between the builds so hopefully it will not be too bad So thanks to the community for providing some joy to me, even if it's just a little thing. Keep on keeping on.

Hey Tex, please save voice.

Nerd_Power

Congratulations to everyone involved on the releases! Newsletter was... enlightening, let's say. I look forward to seeing what madness emerges from responses to the Art Corner. And from Issue 2, of course. The bar is set high. I feel the Magistratum handbook is missing one vital thing, though: a table with some of the insane random ammo that was being issued for the shotguns. 'til next time!

Killian

OK, how many times have I asked Tex to do an episode on the Orion BattleMech.?

Fighter Phoenix

After DMing on and off for 20 years, run a story you love to tell. The players will maybe see 10% of your effort. The other 90% is for you to enjoy. And caffeine.

[save your voice or not, whatever is best for you] Good Evening Mr Tex and Team, My deep appreciation and thanks for creating and sharing the Magistratum Mundanus. The efforts in creation is seen and will bring great amounts of joy to my local gaming group. This manual's personality is infectious. A question about Traveler from time-limited and cash-strapped GM and role-player: in your opinion, what one book should I purchase to begin to learn this system & lore? (After multiple encounters with gaming systems that are older than I, professional advice is a must in order to not get lost in the mountain of published materials) Thanks!

Steve Constant, 'Splash Mountain'

Good to hear the 3rd is a day something happens. It happens to be a birthday. 40th of mine. Despite all the bowl-shed of IRL am trying to outlast the bastards. Working on making real life projects bring joy to self and possibly others. Either way, know that YOU do bring joy with your work and those you work with. Question though, would there be a Tex Talks Battletech TV show? If only to poke fun at how weird it is and how it somehow fits in the overall lore of the setting. Though I wonder what else pop culture things would exist in the setting. No matter what going to wish the best to you and your team. Just because.

Mnemonicman

Good Evening Mr. Tex. Hell yeah! Magistratum Mundanus! Glanced through it pretty quickly, I won't have the time to read it in detail this week. Just, ugh levels of busy. This seriously looks as good as and has a lot more personality than anything Gee Dubs has put out in years. Thanks for this. Obligatory Fuck Games Workshop. Stay safe out there.

I had a 4+ year hiatus myself and, honestly? It was like I never stopped. Just start playing man, it'll come naturally. And try not to stress too much over it. ^_^

I'd like to request a Tex Plays "Civilization 7"

As a writer, yes, characters will run away from you. To paraphrase Fighter Phoenix, here another comment of mine where I annoy Tex about the Magistracy of Canopus and the Taurian Concordat. $26000? Good Lord. I had to do a separate google search for the Legionnaire, didn't see a link on the main site. I'm tempted to write something in-Universe from Canopus but I'm scared I'll get the details wrong. Reading through the Manual took me back to your playthrough. Zechariah should consider himself fortunate to be alive again.

Jay McIntyre

Sadly the Traveler game was delayed do to RL interference but as soon as I create a character I’ll let you know. I’m nervous because I’ve had bad experiences with RNG creation before in other games. As for my Inquisitor: Sister Lucia Dominique is an Adepta Sororitas from a feudal world who was recruited by the Inquisition after a bad run in with a Dark Mechanicus cult. Link to full character sheet below: https://docs.google.com/document/d/11RM_3R0z-J7BbZkX4882kGem8T8ADvQMXlRugWYU2XA/edit Let me know if that doesn’t work i didn't want to post the full sheet it's rather long.

Luminaire

Whoooo!... Been looking forward to this. Question, any advice for a person who wants to get back into DMing after a long hiatus.
