Not only will it save your voice on weeks when you need it, but it lays the possibility for some great future gags. I imagine a running argument/war starting between the various versions of Tex-as-voiced-by-various parties. One of them claims to be "real Tex from 2002". One of them claims to be "real Tex from the future" who comes with a dire warning to "beware, the editors are going to--" and the broadcast cuts off and they move on to the next question as if nothing had happened. Wishing the best for the holidays for everyone in the BPL.

First I hope you are feeling somewhat better, I won’t pretend you will rest or do less work I at least can know you have great friends that stepped up and helped you! I am in the autistic spectrum and depression and anxiety also are not considered a symptom but part of my personality. I only mention that as I want you to know I understand no one’s autism or depression can be compared to any one else’s so I won’t say I can understand all you deal with. As I am always afraid of saying something that will upset people at all times I go through a lot of doubt messaging you as I fear I will say something wrong. And I work for the largest clinic in the US in a department that takes in 25 thousand request a week and I have a phobia talking on phones and to people. Enough tangent, I want to give you in a way a gift that is possible you already have or know, but you try and push back on personal achievements so I will try logic and facts. You said you just want to know you give to people and help them have better lives, para phrased of course. When ever you feel that please look at these chats, the Aux, the BPL proper and all the videos people join you in fighting YouTube to share the joy and knowledge you show. Then see the half a Million in charity you have achieved for great causes, the special ones you do for specific people or families you know! Then look at all the messages that have been posted on all the sites that are people you helped bring together to share common favorite subjects, friends made with others around the world that probably would have never had any other way to have done! The so many talented writers, artist, musicians, researchers and creative thinkers that make a group with more talent then probably all of Hollywood and TV put together. Finally look at the one common denominator that connects all of that and that is you, you made this all happen and gave it life that now continues to grow and spread. You have given so much more then money, so much more then cheap joys or videos, you have given people a platform that all feel safe, and where so many have made life long friends. You are the giver that never stops giving no matter the personal cost! I hope maybe the facts we’ll be hard to deny and you have as good a holiday you can have while working as hard as you do. Thank you Tex for being here for us all

I have to admit that I have relatively little knowledge of cultural norms The Great State of Texas. I did spend a weekend in San Antonio once to attend a borderline successful wedding once but aside from a couple of layovers in the Dallas airport my experience within the Lone Star State is sorely lacking. As a result I have a question about Texas culture I am eager to ask. In the 1990 ZZ Top song "My Head's In Mississippi" Billy Gibbons sings about seeing a presumably Texan naked cowgirl floating on the ceiling. What I want to know is if she was naked how did he know she was a cowgirl? Does the Texas Department of the Interior have a cowgirl banding and tagging program that I am unaware of, or was she, perhaps, a Canopian cowgirl with cute little horns and four…well…you know…?

You may not be feeling blessed at the moment but you’ve got such good friends who came out of the woodwork to help you meet this arbitrary weekly deadline. Rest of the crew, major props for coming together and covering for Tex. Thanks for doing it. Y’all are great friends and are selfless. Back to Tex again. Here’s a drink recipe that might help you get through the sickness and soothe your throat and aches. This was passed down through the generations from my dad to me. He called it the Canadian remedy. Now in the present day, whenever either my wife or I get a nasty cold we make it for each other. The relief is immediate and quite measurable. Add to a *hot* steaming mug of fresh brewed mint or peppermint tea the following: 2-3 tablespoons of real honey 1 tablespoon lemon juice Squeeze in cut wedge of orange then add the leftover orange wedge with rind still attached to the tea 2-3 shots of golden rum like Bacardi or similar Stir & serve hot. Will soothe throat almost instantly on contact. Don’t mix with cold meds or just hold the rum if you’re medicated. Real talk I’m not about the whole “trust me bro” online trap, but this concoction will do wonders for sore throat & congestion, I promise you. Feel better, brother!

As someone with a shitty immune system and a complex condition, I have had to rely on reinforcing myself. I know, I know.. unsoliciated advice. But not from out of nowhere, out of concern. Not needed to be read out loud. Zinc Citrate with an amount of protein, and a few hours later Oil of Oregano in water. Obviously with a throat condition, be careful with oil of Oregano, as it is powerful. It is truly effective but after drinking some just now, likely too strong for the throat! After almost being un-lifed by the Coof, my regular Tea least once a month is Tetley Immune tea. It has zinc in it too, so avoid taking too much. There is something going around, and it's knocking people flat. Bacteria entering through scratches in the throat? Very possible, very shitty. We're old gits, Tex. We need to take it easy, 10 coffee's and 5 hours sleep will absolutely wreck us now. Of course, I'm not a Doctor. Maybe, I'm just panicking. My own brother has been out of the hospital, 6 times already. Hope you get well soon, too! > Take your time Mike, and congratulations on going back to school!
