From the designer perspective the Polyanthas have something really special that no other custom deck did before. Let me explain why.
A few days ago I received an email from USPCC where I already was waiting for.
They wrote: "the faded roses need to bleed to the last line of the dieline."
For visualization I made this line blue in the image.
Every borderless deck design needs to go until this blue line to ensure that the design doesn't stop abruptly with a white border if the cut isn't 100% accurate. But my borderless design ends on the green cutting line. There is no way that this really is an option - normally.
This was my response to their email:
As you can see the card fades out until it's completely white. So there is no design anymore that can bleed to the last line. I'm aware of the fact that the cut isn't always 100% accurate but that is ok. Attached is an image to visualize how the card looks like with a huge shift to the side.
Both cards on the right are shifted equally to the side. But because of the faded design it still looks very good while the Remedies card already looks bad. And we know, normally the cut never really is that bad :D
So it would be very nice if you could continue with this current design. I would even say the white space is part of the design.

I'm not the first person who prints a deck with a faded border.
The Bee Stingers by Theory11 was the first deck to my knowledge, followed by the Madison Players.
But all these decks fade out to a white border. The Polyanthas fade out on the edges but it's a borderless design. Something that makes this deck unique.
