The explanation may look complicated but really just on the first glance.
You can read the deck by looking at the first four roses on the bottom left.
Every rose stem has four leaves. The first rose tells you the suit.
Only one leaf is bigger than the other three and you read it from left to right.
If the first leaf is bigger it's a ♠️
If the second leaf is bigger it's a ♥️
If the third leaf is bigger it's a ♣️
If the fourth leaf is bigger it's a ♦️
Spades, Hearts, Clubs, Diamonds - this is the order that I use and which makes the most sense to me. There is an easy memory hook. Spades has one sharp tip, Hearts has two roundings, Clubs has three roundings and Diamonds has four sharp edges.
Same with the value on the next three stems. Twelve leaves for every card from Ace to Queen. Only the King is different. All twelve leaves are small if it's a King.
Yes the markings are smaller compared to the markings on the Lavender deck. But if you hold the cards in your hands it's easy to identify them.
The Polyantha V2s will be available in the Black Roses Lavender Kickstarter campaign as add-on deck, limited to 1000.
