Let's get real for a second

To be frank, I am very unhappy with how this development cycle has gone by (a development cycle being the time from one update release to another). Between the constant delays and some life interferences, this is perhaps the most stressed I've been working on the game so far.

Most of it stems from the fact that I had to constantly delay the update due to things I thought would take a month at most. However, I also mentioned once in one of the previous development logs that I've been taking longer to work on the game to make sure all the art and writing lives up to the standards I have for the game looking forward.

Obviously, that kind of thinking has brought me a non-zero amount of headaches, but I can very honestly say that the extra time I took to create what I truly envisioned was fully worth it. In my eyes, all of the content added in this update features some of the most interesting and fun writing so far, and I hope you will feel that way too!

As I mentioned in one of the previous logs, a lot of worldbuilding was done behind the scenes, and I even added little tidbits here and there into some of the old dialogue, so if you decide to replay the game, keep your eyes peeled for those!

And on that note

I've been stepping down on the gas pedal nonstop for the past month or so trying to roll the update out, so with that, I'll happily take the next few days off to rest a little.

Of course, I'll be on the lookout for any potential bug reports, so if anything particularly game-breaking is found, I should have it fixed within a few days like I usually do. If you have any other questions, you can also let me know as well.

Yeah, I wouldn't mind it so much until I noticed there was some kind of progress bar when you do a clean sweep then it felt bad D:

It's pretty much designed in a way where you're not necessarily meant to get everything on most of your visits! From my testing, I managed to sweep the entire board in about 30% of my attempts using effective guesswork. Though it also depends on how many blocks end up getting generated.

Is there a chance to get more moves for the foraging minigame? Sometimes it's simply tight but I'm also finding that there's not enough moves to actually get all the shapes in a perfect game.

This has definitely been requested quite a few times by now! Unfortunately it will likely not be a thing anytime soon due to the exponential increase in art assets it would require for all the clothing options, not to mention a small branching rewrite added to many existing scenes and text.

Iโ€™d love it if the main characters body type could be a create a character option. Id love a ballgut like norman or rounder superchub option like ratko for myself. Love love love the game but thats my main gripe.

not sure where the best spot to report a bug is so i figured iโ€™d do it here ๐Ÿ˜… in scenario mode, when playing Buckyโ€™s fight, the story will only continue if you win the fight. otherwise the text box will just remain blank

Echoing what others have said and saying that Bucky's signature debuff is very bugged, I think it might actually be impossible to win the fight because of it, which is annoying to me specifically because this game activates a bit of a completionist spirit in me lol

Love it all, amazing update. my biggest issue Is I like losing to some of the people but then i know i need to win to get better cards ๐Ÿคฃ oh the decisions

I have played through all of the update and I'm over the moon! Love Stanley, we really eating good this update. The difficulty for fights is also very interesting, had to use most of the available resources and quite a bit of luck to beat some of the fights so winning was satisfying but not impossible! Thank you for all the hard work you've put in building the game up this far and do take a very well deserved rest <3!

B the numbers are the numbers of shapes/items, not the number of squares. I got the same issue with Bucky though, gaining 1 Wgt for every card played, for too many turns. Yeah I lost ๐Ÿ˜… And I accidentally saved over and erased the previous save from before the fight ๐Ÿ˜ข

Thank you again! The garden's definitely supposed to be closed ad night, Stanley even says as much in the dialogue. Looks like another misplaced flag check on my part...

Another one, after MQ3 and Hammond taking back the restaurant, when you enter the restaurant Hammond has one set of clothes (the new ones), but after you eat (when he says bye) he has different clothes (the old ones) And I don't know if it's intended, but you can take care of the garden at night. It seems a bit like cheating considering the other actions are usually not possible at night, and it also says if you go in the weekend that you're talked to Stanley.

Thanks for the report! Could you specify more what's wrong with the foraging numbers? It may just be that the wording in the explanation isn't clear enough, but what the number specifies is the amount of differently colored pieces.

Love the update! Bugs to report: The numbers on the foraging minigame don't actually indicate how many squares in that row or column will be seeds. Also, Bucky's card that causes you to gain weight after every 4th card played does not stop at 0/go back up to 4. Instead, the icon disappears and the card count goes into the negatives, meaning that you gain 1 Wgt every single card you play for the rest of the time that effect is active.

Thanks for the report! Turns out I had the flag for smoking *inverted* this whole time, so in the one other scene where it's used, the game assumes you said it the other way around... wow.

You can find the patreon password here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/patreon-perks-v0-82701920 As for the crafting UI, could you perhaps be talking about how the title of the card is slightly cut off when you have your "Card Zoom" set to Extra Large? I... admittedly gave up and left it that way after trying to fit it in as best as I could at that size. I might figure out a different solution later though!

A minor bug, in the journal for "The fisherman", the first sentence on the second part says "Though you declined after informing him that you didn't drink", while I did accept the beer. There's the exact opposite for Beau's story in the journal, that says I accepted the cigarette while I didn't ๐Ÿ˜„

I love the update. It's clear a lot of thought and care went into it. I like the garden it's fun but it does make crafting take a while with trying to get the right vegetables. Other than that I've been enjoying the new characters and the world building. Where can I find the new patreon password for the update? I've found an issue with the ui scaling for Android, in the crafting menu the card selected on the right appears too big for the screen.

I should say that there seems to be an issue with deck editing from older save files. I am assuming that it has to be one or more cards in the deckbuilding that is causing the game to crash, but the log doesn't give me much information about where the error is coming from.
