I had a really hard time listening to this episode; so gruesome... i haven't been able to stop thinking about these poor people being cooked alive because of gross negligence and greed 😭

Financial desperation can do a lot to people. I can’t judge them not knowing their situations.

God, I've worked around large commercial ovens for years, and I just knew this was going to be rough to listen to.

One of your best bonus episodes. Haunting.
My first thought in the first story was that they had to make up for the time the oven was going to be down. Decisions like this in this society--and the subsequent "but the pay will be good" to go into an OVEN--is why I don't root for the humans.

I knew this wasn't gonna be good the second I heard the word "oven."
Oy, what a horrific ending for these poor people. Damned greedy corporations literally get away with murder again and again. 🤬 I guess it's somewhat of a relief to know at least they aren't always American corporations. (For a change.)

My memory is trash but the tuna story and every detail of it has stuck with me since it happened.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. If people die in a horrific workplace accident as a result of serious negligence, and nobody goes to jail for it, then justice hasn’t been done. Fines are not justice. They are the cost of doing business.

Unbelievable that Bumblebee got fined basically nothing for cooking a man to death but $25 million for price-fixing. This country.

I'm kinda bummed this isn't a public episode. This is the kind of episode that could 1000% save lives. I work in industrial environments and lock out/tag out procedures are a thing for a reason, but many times people don't, to save time or paperwork. More people need to hear these stories.
