I'm a translator but I hadn't even thought about that lol but you're completely right. I personally would recommend watching the directly translated subtitles for foreign shows/movies because dub transcriptions always (have to) take liberties and shortcuts, as you said.

Just wanted to let you know since Netflix doesn't mention it anywhere, the English [CC] subtitles are captions for the English dub, which changed the dialogue to try and sync the English audio and mouths better, while the English subtitles are focused on translating the Korean directly. Not sure if you care one way or the other, but thought I'd throw it out there!
