I think the train is fine for most trainlines but I do think outside depends. I mean, it only really matters if you're caught and police aren't usually patrolling around all the time (at least up in Scotland) but there was one time in final year of High School we had our alcohol confiscated by police going past. We probably just weren't hidden enough from the road lol

2024-12-06 02:47:06 +0000 UTCIt isn't illegal to drink in public, but it is illegal to be drunk and disordely and/or exhibit anti-social behaviour along with drinking. But if you just wanna drink outside or on the train or whatever, as long as you're not a dick and 18+ there's no law against it.

As a not-fan of Man City, I'm not sure where and how it started. Re: Drinking in public. It depends on the local council. I think it is generally illegal to drink in most public spaces and on most public transport. Assuming you are caught, of course 😅. There are some long distance rail routes that allow buying and drinking of alcohol, but it depends (we don't have a public rail provider anymore, all privatised).
