Now if you go back to 2x4 you see how Coulson figured out May wasn't May. He knows she does not show affection easily and 33 touched Coulson hand.

“It’s not a dream indeed….” Sometimes our gifts show in the most obscure ways possible

I love Iain and Nick’s friendship and dynamic, on and off screen, too. Although I love how pretty much all of the cast have remained close since the show ended :)

It really is all connected, isn't it? The little tag scene between Fitz, Hunter and Coulson is really kind of sweet. And it tickles me pink to know that Iain and Nick are still the absolute best of buds, almost a decade on.

Skye/Daisy's theme that plays when she causes the avalanche, and earlier when she broke out of the terrigenesis cocoon, is such a beautiful score, I wish they'd released it as a soundtrack!

We have a Billy Riggins sighting. That's 2 from FNL. Any more?

marvel has confirmed agents of shield is canon! marvel.com/characters/nick-fury/on-screen "Within his own organization, when John Garrett, a promising protégé of Fury’s, is uncovered as a longtime Hydra operative, S.H.I.E.L.D.’s director steps in to lend a personal hand to Phil Coulson in taking Garrett down permanently."

Great reaction. This episode just brought everything full circle. Melinda's connection to inhumans. The parallel of Skye's story with Katya. Jiaying being the leader of Afterlife, and Skye finding her mother. Her entire reason for hacking into and then joining Shield. Finding out Raina's gift as a clairvoyant - what Garrett claimed to be was just top notch story telling. We learned why Melinda is cold and stoic and not fond of anyone touching her. Why she left the field and Andrew. The heartbreaking reveal that she was about to start a family and had to kill a child. How broken she was. The background story of Theta Protocol which is why everyone is second guessing their loyalties. Just so much to wrap one's head around this episode.

I love how they worked this storyline, from Raina being obsessed to meet The Clairvoyant all through the first season to becoming one

Yeah, May's back story is heartbreaking. I love that the show knew that from the beginning and knew exactly where the story was going.
