It was a joint convention with other shows - Buffy, Angel, etc. But the SPN part had so much interest that they started doing solo SPN conventions soon after. I like that first Chicago one for showing us the beginnings of what have become the best convention experiences out there. J2 could do a stand up act.

I have loved watching you become a fan of what I consider my ALL TIME favorite tv show. It has everything and thi season sets up the family dynamic so well. Through the first 22 episode you learn slowly just who Sam, Dean and John really are. Everybody ends the season with a change or revelation of each ones character then they start with. I love these brothers ability to make me mad, make me emotional and make me care about fictional character so much. I'm going to rewatch your season 1 reaction starting with your top 5

2019-12-04 22:42:34 +0000 UTCGreat recap of the season and you were right about Home being the episode where I think everyone who's new gets hooked IMO its either Home or Skin if they're hooked on SPN by then they never will be and I'm not sure what the cutesy name for Deangirls( maybe Deanazons?😉) is but a SPN podcaster(Platinum Rose Iady⚘on all podcast platforms) I listen to who's also a Samgirl she came up with the moniker #Samazon🦋 for us(me ,her & other Samazons )Samgirls it's all in good fun also a little BTS Jared(Sam) & Jensen(Dean) were supposed to play these guys bc when the reading for the parts came usually there's a room full of guys that all look alike but this time there was only 2 guys Jared and Jensen so two parts 2 guys 2 brothers but Jensen read for Sam first but Eric Kripke thought maybe Jared might make a better Sam🤣👍and Jensen asked to read for Dean they just started out as 2 dudes from Texas but then there's a story that Kripke sat them down after a little arguement during Wendigo 1 x 2 and told them that this show will be a success or failure bc of them ,that they carry it ,that they are the lead and people will watch how they behave and it will trickle down to the entire cast and crew and I know it was a lot to put on their young shoulder's but its said even by everyone who works on Supernatural ever that it's the best place they've ever worked we've heard these stories for 15 years its bc of J2 and they also pretty much have the crew as when they started the words that comes to my mind is integrity & kindness💙💙💙💙💙and when you get far enough in the show I'll let know when its safe to start watching the Supernatural conventions they're really fun but not until like season 4 maybe 5!!🦋⚘

2019-12-04 20:37:59 +0000 UTCWhat you said about how you've come to love the boys is exactly what we all have done as well. This show is really good on that side of things. Don't worry about if you're a Sam Girl or Dean Girl. The fandom likes to categorize things that way, but it doesn't have to be that way. I'm definitely a Dean Girl. Always have been, and always will be. He speaks to my soul. Both Jared and Jensen are perfect for their roles. Sam is a tough character to play too. Jensen has done things with Dean that I don't think Kripke, or anyone else with the show ever expected. They both are perfect for these roles. Jensen has said that the 3rd episode - Dead in the Water - is where he started understanding who Dean was, and that helped him in playing Dean. I was also a big time Buffy Fan, and a bigger X-Files fan, but SPN is on top for me. Get used to SPN being mainly about Sam and Dean. That was the original intention of Kripke for this show. It's a lot of work for J2 to have to carry on their own, so any time other characters can come into the show, is fully supported by them. I'm so glad you already love the show!
