EARLY ACCESS: 51. Liam C Music (Video)

The Screen Rot Podcast is the show where we discuss the weirdest and worst content that's been rotting our screens and our minds.

It's Monday Night football for internet rubbish. This week we discuss: Liam C Music. The relentlessly cringe ukulele player who scared Dua Lipa to death at Glastonbury .

APOLOGIES - our recorder for the mics stopped working for the last 4 minutes so the audio is lower quality only for the final section.

That title is gold dust.

So funny as always. I love that Mango the cat is going through her Paris Hilton phase - kudos to her. I feel like this only scratches the surface (much like his curated content). Going through socials, this guy is like that kid at school who has social problems and has never been told how annoying they actually are (and has learned to use it for clout), and now it's turned into a half accidental career as a bucket list influencer (doing cringeworthy things for views). I would pay to see him pull this shit in Poland or Belgium or somewhere where street harassment isn't as socially acceptable. I also can't find a fully recorded song of his anywhere, so that shows he's not really into the creative side, and just wants attention and fame. If he had a little bit of musical talent, he could be a mid-level touring act, and potentially perform on a decent stage. He'd be mediocore, and sub Olly Murs level of shit, but he'd easily find an audience. I'm not fussed about Dua Lipa usually, but I feel sorry for her in the clip because she probably has to deal with adult stans with nothing else going on as a price of her career. Her and others are media trained for these things so it's really unsurprising to see her, Stormzy and Tom Grennan acting like they are handling a potential liability. Anyway, my problem is that he's not honest about his ambition or passions. He's with a management company and that's clearly how he supposedly blags his way in, and lies that he wants to be a serious musician when he really just wants to be a cringe-content creator.

He's got a new song called '4 Strings And The Truth' which is David Brent levels of cringe

It's a regular comment of mine, but like most Rot Subjects, if the cameras weren't there he'd have no jaw left to punch

The biggest problem with this guy is he sign posts wordplay so much, even though its absolutely dog shit, almost like he is imagining a rap battle crowd suddenly shouting OHHHHHHHHH! The second biggest problem is that style of music is ten a penny, so its a lot of effort to go to, to basically take a celebrity hostage by making it clear they have to play nice because there is a camera and potential onlookers ready to make them viral if they tell them to fuck off and go through their manager.
